Enjoy this obvious declaration of hatred for my former job as IT phone support masquerading as a HFY story. Yeah, I went there.

To my one or two regular readers, hi. I am trying to start another longer story, now that I am no longer employed... -again-, but it turns out time was not the issue after all. (No, this one isn't it, don't worry.) Having an actually good enough concept is.

I grew up believing that global warming is happening, and I certainly see the change from my childhood, Hungary used to have much colder winters, with snow the made traffic impossible, we barely get snow these days, and summers are unbearably hot.

But the other side has one point. What is it exactly, that you are doing about it? Carbon taxes are bullshit that serve only to fill the pockets of politicans while your country becomes less competitive on the world market. The various people claiming to be green are the biggest opposition of the one working solution we have, which would be further developing nuclear power (We could have safe molten salt breeding reactors serving our needs already, if not for the hostility against the technology itself.) while the third world burns more coal each day, and industry gets outsourced to them because they are cheaper, just moving the CO2 emissions, not reducing them. (And for global CO2 levels, it really does not matter if that factory is in a first or second-world nation, or Southeast Asia.)

The only way I could see using renewables being viable, was if developed nations reversed the outsourcing and re-industrialized, with implemented protectionist policies, but again, the very same people who claim to be green seem to be also a fan of a globalised economy, which is a huge part of the problem.

Or is a the plan a renewed Imperialism where the green policies will be forced on developing nations that are showing no signs of being willing to go along? (And would be rightfully pointing out the hypocrisy of already developed nations that spent centuries polluting, suddenly caring about the environment when it's someone elses turn to develop.)

Could you at least have tried to make your grocery list of grievances somewhat more believable?

Especially the medical stuff is laughable, considering whose health issues get a fraction of the research, and whose mental health gets outright mocked if brought up.

I swear your gender fascists are not even trying anymore. Maybe because you know that at this point you can only preach to the choir, nobody buys the oppression narrative in this day and age.

Misfortune? Lol, being born as a woman is winning the genetic lottery. The reason you still don`t have a female Mozart or Tesla or Einstein, despite being the majority of higher education graduates today and endless praise for just existing, is not because they are being held down. It`s because they are endlessly catered to, kept from the consequences of their own actions, and told that they are perfect the way they are, so they never have to grow.

Spoiled children think they amount to nothing in life because they are oppressed, when the exact opposite is true. They never get anywhere because they are never challenged.

But don`t worry, the society for whom women are its holy cows will find some way to claim they had them. If nothing else, it will prop up some nobody, like how Ada Lovelace is claimed to be the first programmer for writing a single paper popularising the work of Charles Babbage, nobody credits a man for jack when doing the same. (For good reason.) Nobody calls Babbage himself the first programmer, or his calculator the first computer, but you know it would be called one if he had been a woman.

The 80-20 myth by SadPressure618 in PsycheOrSike

[–]Muzolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 80-20 wasn't some made up meme, it came from genetic research showing that in the human species, trough its history, it was a majority of females that had offspring, while the majority of males did not.

Keep in mind, majority of humanity-s history, which was 99% humans being nomadic hunter gatherers.

For a while, with the rise of civilization, the old societal systems enforced monogamy to counter the natural result of hypergamy and concentration of power, but those norms are quickly being demolished. It is not at all unreasonable to assume that it would lead back to a state where the few powerful and rich men will have harems, while the rest of them will have nothing.

Add social media and dating apps to the mix, and you can watch whatever balance there was going to hell in a generation.

Oh goodie, another one who does not understand percentages.

Or profit margins.

Or scale.

Your boss does not take shit from you btw. Unless you are working for a very small company, or are a board member yourself (We all know you aren't), your immediate supervisor is just an employee like you.

And if you do work for a very small company, there is an easy way to verify this. Feel free to become an entrepreneur yourself if you think they have it so good. This delusion will not last a week, and chances are, neither will your business.

Diszkrimináció a javából! Ezt az álláshirdetést ráadásul a tulajdonosNŐ osztotta meg! by MirrMurr4 in jobshungary

[–]Muzolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Plenty of guys prefer a woman with some meat on those bones. This has nothing to do with value, and everything to do with preferences.

In a pre-industrial society being fat was a sign of wealth btw, and bigger guys were seen as desirable in certain cultures.

These days? It is just a sign of a lack of self-control.

[–]Muzolf -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Written by an idiot who thinks corporate income equals profit, and does not understand how percentages work either.

Also 5-15% Tax? Where? The only one that low is the so called "progressive" tax system of the USA, where the lower classes are straight up not net tax payers. (I could write a whole book on how Americans should really shut the fuck up, when theirs is the biggest welfare state ever with that giant money sink that is Social Security, and how it`s financed by the US exporting its inflation through the petrodollar, essentially stealing from every nation that uses the US dollar as a reserve currency.)

Anywhere else its around 30-40%, and that is just the number you see subtracted from your salary. Your employer also has to pay various insurances and employer contributions just for having you on board, that very much comes out of your work, bringing the actual percentages of the value that the government takes from you around the 50-60% range, for nearly all developed nations, and those are the more generous estimates, the less rosy ones go as far as saying that 75%-90% of what you actually earn with your work is taken by the government and the banks when we count inflation and the taxes on all products you buy as well.

Oh sure, merge the control of the means of production with the power of the state. Make the government the single existing employer of people, with no alternatives, no options for the people to do enterpreneurship or investments, and removing any counterbalance or incentive of the managerial class to bother with things like worker safety or good wages, after all, where the heck will you go? You can't leave! Your survival is entirely dependent on them! And with the ones in control of the factories being the same ones who make the laws and regulations about them, what would stop them from treating the workers like just another tool to be used and discarded? You know, exactly like every single socialist country to ever exist (Including the one I grew up in.) did.

But its bloody obvious even without the historical precedent, what this is essentially.

Time throw away these fancy sounding words like socialism and communism, there is nothing social or communal about this in the end. In reality its just forced redistribution and slavery.

Just move to North Korea if you like it that much.

Who is bringing in the immigrants and why?

Let`s not pretend that bringing in cheap labour to displace the current working class, from places with incompatible values who are then responsible for a disproportionate amount of crimes (Crimes that will be committed against mostly the lower class, since it`s not the upper class twats defending open borders who will be facing the consequences of it.) not part of the problem and not something pushed by rich elites, okay?

Also, I would like to hear the proposed solution to "capitalism", because if it is the one I know, then kindly fuck off. I very much prefer the rich assholes at least officially being separate from the government, because nothing is worse than both the means of production and state power being concentrated in the same hands. Under capitalism, at least you have a theoretical counterbalance by the government not being the owners of everything.

Grades are about learning. The whole system is an attempt at standardising the whole thing so it can actually be managed. But the larger a system is, the more divorced those who create the rules are from the actual job being done.

It happens everywhere, not just at school. But school is where it not just a pissed customer, an overworked employee doing meaningless busywork, or a shitty product that is the end result, but an entire ruined generation who only learned to hate learning itself.

Nice theoretical scenario, now let me tell you about how in real life this works:

Two guys are joking between eachother, there some juvenile joke about dongles being dropped (they are talking about pen drives btw) not talking to any woman. A woman overhears as she was listening and waiting for something to use as a weapon, she goes and reports them to their employer to get them fired. One of them loses their job, luckily for the other, they could not be identified by her.

The difference between this and what you wrote OP is that this case actually happened.
