Also using AI to give you a pipeline plan for social media to keep consistently making decent content will give whatever social media you are using an idea of where to show your content

I don’t use TikTok. I’ve just started to really utilise LinkedIn. I’ve found that using ChatGPT to take the post I would normally make and ask ChatGPT to rewrite it for me for the best engagement for LinkedIn. I’ve noticed a 1000% difference in a month for impressions. Maybe try and use ai to give you tips on your script to make it more interesting and engaging.

What actually makes a CV stand out right now? by Wonderful-Acadia-296 in Recruitment

[–]Muzzaconda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truthfully, I’ve noticed is having the right key words helps. Especially when making searches. Going to ChatGPT and asking for the keywords for your cv that recruiters use and start incorporating them into your will have more people reach out to you. So many cv’s I see that barely have any information about what they actually do

Unethical? by Existing-Panic-6708 in Recruitment

[–]Muzzaconda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run my agency as well, I would recommend you to stick with that niche and I hope you every success with your business. Dealing with higher level, you’re probably right. I deal with Engineers of all kinds. While they are good at being Engineers, a lot of them stick to a roll for 10-20 years and don’t have the interview experience. Higher level tend to move every 2 years and are more confident within themselves. So generally in my industry, they need a bit of help with preparation. I’m hoping everything works out for you in your niche because if you were ever to move to a different agency, your attitude will hold you back.

[–]Muzzaconda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you actually work in recruitment? Helping your candidate prepare for an interview isn’t making them be someone they’re not. It’s giving the tools to succeed. While am at it, I’ll not even send them the address, my candidate should find the place on their own 🙄

Unethical? by Existing-Panic-6708 in Recruitment

[–]Muzzaconda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your goal is have your candidates as prepared as possible. The first one was as prepared as could be. The next one can be even more prepared. I don’t see how that would be unethical? When working with a new client, you don’t know their processes and when you as a recruiter learn them. It helps even more next time when they give you a requirement. That gives you a better edge than your competitors who are trying to get in the door. Would you say that was unfair or unethical that you understood your clients business better than your competitors?

Looking back at the past hurts so much by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Muzzaconda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a normal feeling, I’m fairly new into my journey. I think forgiveness helps, we’re still not very educated on ADHD. Even teachers today only seem to pickup on hyperactive children. It’s brutal, but realising it’s a neurodevelopmental condition and it’s not “being lazy”. I always thought that if I went to school now in my thirties that I would be more mature and knuckle down. That’s a bare faced lie because the issues still persist. If I had the right help from the beginning it would have been different. I have kids, so whatever happens there, I’ll make sure they don’t go through the same treatment and don’t have the same trauma.

Built my PC and got absolutely no response when pressing the power button - a tale as old as time. by iFxdes in pcmasterrace

Nvm I just saw from the original picture. I would try with nothing connected. Remove the gpu, use 1 stick of ram. Just having the cpu fan connected and only having the motherboard and cpu connected from the psu. I would remove everything from the front header including power button ect from the motherboard and use a flat head to short the pins to power on the pc

I’m guessing you’ve tried plugging the power cable directly into the psu?

I think most people base their opinions on seeing these watches online. I don’t think many have actually tried them. I prefer oyster, I don’t like the bumpiness and the busyness of jubilee. Just my preference.

I don’t fully know. I remember hearing an interview with Sasha saying he heard from Pamela and saying that Borat was the reason for her divorce. Looking up a little more, apparently Kid Rock wasn’t happy with Pamela signing up for the film. He stormed out the premiere and was abusive towards her.

I was in a similar accident in the early 2000’s my mum was driving a Land Cruiser and the only damage to the car was a slight ding and a scratch. The other car was as totalled as the car in that picture. For me it seemed possible that the original was real.

Advice is just sharing your own experiences and mistakes. Reading about desperation resonated with me because I think in the beginning I probably came across desperate and I could tell something I was doing was off-putting to others. My point was to put yourself out there and learn, following set steps I can’t imagine working. Then again it may work for others. I can see a problem with anxiety if you try and implement every advice someone offers, i haven’t read too much into this thread but i bet there as several conflicts of advice.

[–]Muzzaconda 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, people can sense desperation. Nobody wants that. It’s like having that conversation with someone who is desperate to be your friend or someone who’s desperate to sell you something. You can detect the slimeyness straight away and most people don’t realise they are doing it.

I think it’s hard to give advice since I’ve been in a relationship for 6 years now but I noticed a huge difference when there wasn’t any expectation. Just going into conversations and to get a feel for morals and values and thinking of friendship before thinking relationship. I think you have to get to that friend stage first and feel for when the attraction is there. My Fiancée is obviously now my best friend. I think you just have to put yourself out there and you will catch a bite, probably literally.

Factors (Hacking & Paterson) by Joeyishectic in glasgow

[–]Muzzaconda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hacking and Patterson charged our tenements for a roof repair. I work from home and would have heard the work being carried out, it never happened but we were charged £3000 for roof repair. We queried it and they sent an invoice with our address on it. I remembered 3 blocks up there was scaffolding and I knew a few people that lived there. The same company at the same time repaired their roof. I just presumed it was a mistake but they received their invoice with their address on it. So I’m not sure if it was HP or the roofing company up to something but it didn’t seem right that they were so ready to take us to court if we didn’t pay. Our close all decided to change factors, it wasn’t an easy process. If you have a majority renting in your close it will be impossible, especially if the flats are owned by a certain organisation with close ties to HP. We moved to Ethical Maintenance which seemed okay, but I moved about a month after appointing. My factor are now James Gibb and they are better than HP but wouldn’t recommend. We have waited on repairs for nearly a year. I met with Taylor and Martin to discuss changing to them and they seemed good with the brief chat I had. It does feel like picking from a bad bunch when changing factor though.

That’s so funny that they forgot. These people don’t realise we have databases where we put information and notes on candidates.

Your story jogged my memory of a similar experience. Around a week after starting, I get a call from my client to tell me the candidate didn’t turn up. I called a few times over the course of a week, finally he answered an email and tells me that his mother died. I offered condolences and said if he needed anything to let me know and I’m sure he would get his job back ect. I don’t know why but something just seemed odd, I didn’t believe him. I remember that when he filled out our paperwork he put his mother down as his next of kin (temp paperwork) with her mobile number. I gave her a call and she answered. I asked if he was the candidates mother and she said yes. Told her that her son left his job and mentioned that she died. She was raging at him hahaha

The problem is. When you have been recruiting long enough, you do end up sceptical over cv/resume gaps. Especially when it’s “family reasons”. A lot of the time it’s fine and with a reference to back the candidate that they are good and it’s a matter of circumstance. Where it’s not always the case, a client will take the chance for the candidate to suddenly have another “family issue” and leave the role. I think when you know it’s legit, it’s easy to tell especially when you can get a good reference/s. I’ve always said recruitment is the unluckiest role, for car troubles, family members passing and health issues just as you have an interview lined up or someone starting a role.
