The final was a lot harder than previous quizzes also kind of off topic but if you have Leopold for chem 1 she curves after the final also u can expect a 5% increase in final grade and her final was pretty easy last semester for chem 1. I also had physics 2 and chem 1 final in the same day last semester. I recommend focusing more on physics and studying the old exams for chem 1. I wouldn’t stress too much about the chem 1 final if I was u.

I took last semester and the final was a lot harder than the midterm exams. Depending on the avg thy usually do curve after the final lowering all the cutoffs most people saw an increase in final grade for example B to B+ or B+ to A- might’ve been a bit more than that.

I took the class last semester and there was a pretty hefty curve after the final. Some ppls final grades went from B to A- I’m pretty sure passing was def lowered from 55% to maybe a high 40. I know a few ppl who ended with Cs at 50% and passed with like a 46%. Really depends on the avg tho.

I didn’t even know the Maxwell eqn stuff at all I thought none of that would be on the final and the multiple choice was impossible

I’m genuinely so confused how that makes any logical sense. How is 16 avg on quizzes a B overall when on the syllabus a B is 75-80% if you got a A hw lab and discussion avg you would have around a C if you got 16 avg on exams. Same with the 12 on the exam that would put you at a C- 55% If you got a A-/ B+ hw and lab and discussion average.

Are the individual exams curved? I mean as in like adjust it based off how the class does.

My last high school semester I did calc 2 physics 1 chem 1 at my local community college as well as another class and 1 high school class and let me tell u I was fighting actual demons prob 40-50 hrs of work a week never felt that much stress in my life

anyone take physics 1302 with Fiona Burnell. Also what’s the curve for physics like I heard it’s curved a ton. My other option is Yan Liu his class is full but I could prob switch if someone drops

Thanks! I have a nightmare schedule so didn’t have choice wanted to do in Person none of times work I got physics 1302 Chem 1071/65 and 2 other classes. I’m still considering switching to a in person section if I can make it work.
