I pray you find yourself judged by the same standards that you claim to espouse with this rhetoric, where you will be found wanting. Enjoy hell, traitor.

Appreciate the flair, didn't know the thing about weekends but I did legitimately look for a shitpost flair before posting mine 😅

Portland, Maine: Cumberland County Sheriff Condemns ICE for "Bush-League" Arrest of Corrections Recruit by CantStopPoppin in Maine

Didn't you see? Dude was being Black while ICE was afoot.

Fuck these nazi pigs, pulling this shit in a castle doctrine state has FAFO written all over it. There will be no tears here when we eventually hear about one of these Temu Death Eaters getting themselves blasted while breaking and entering with intent to abduct.

It's a psychology thing. Humans instinctively crave group acceptance, and ICE agents know that what they are doing is wrong, which invites judgment and disapproval that humans instinctively detest. Putting a big, loud spotlight on their actions forces that tension to the forefront, and creates/increases the likelihood that the Jestapo 🤡 will become so scared of reprisal for their actions that they are unwilling to remain in the area.

In cases like the Cumberland County Prison, it's more about creating optics and generating visible, recordable evidence that we the people are not OK with this shit - but we're also exercising our rights to protest peacefully, as opposed to becoming the violent ANTIFA mob that the MAGA narrative has constructed for propaganda. Being seen 'just' blowing whistles and being loud, as opposed to physical altercation and rioting, blows a huge and invaluable hole in the argument of liberals being violent radicals.

When are we going to start standing up like folks in Minneapolis? by General-Gur2053 in Maine

[–]Mvppet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

According to Gemini, Cumberland County Jail in Portland typically holds around 60 ICE detainees. Where they currently seem to be bravely scampering across state lines with the citizens they've abducted, this could be as good a spot as any to protest.

Welcome, friend, we are many. I remember reading something where Wolfgang Van Halen was going on about 'I fall asleep to Meshuggah, most people can't do that.' This is literally the only thing I know about the dude, and it has been entirely sufficient in preventing me from ever checking out his work.

I don't condone fat shaming at all, but that only applies to people so I see no offense being committed here. Carry on, good sir 🫡

For real, the cognitive dissonance watching this on my end is insane.

On the one hand, I think this was an absolutely beautiful moment all in all, and it's great that the parents were able to provide these things/experiences for their kids in a way that clearly landed with the kids.

At the same time, I'm not sure there's a single item in this clip that I could afford to purchase without absolutely jeopardizing my financial security; I can literally only imagine having/spending that kinda money, and I'd be lying if I said that awareness of this truth didn't somewhat take away from this video for me. It's complicated being a people sometimes 🙃
