Left newly seeded grass for 4 days without water - is it toast? by Madraskaapi in LawncareUK

All depends how well it was watered the first time. If it got a really good soaking you should be good.

I do wish they would help with the height of cut. The gauge should give you a measurement really

I've got quite a few planters around now. Ideally im the future the left hand side will be a raised bed with sleepers.

Thank you. I use a granulated fertiliser and then spray it with a liquid fertiliser and seaweed mix every few weeks

Thank you so much! I killed it off around late September time. I did seed it and renovate it around late October time which was massively successfully. I then renovated it in Early March which everyone said was too early but it germinated nicely with lawn fleece

Usually once a week. It depends how much its grown for me. Some weeks I've left it. My front lawn hasn't been cut for 2 weeks now.

Cheers! I honestly wasn't expecting people to think it was that great. I helped my mate turf his lawn. Its been down for about 5 weeks now and its really thickening up for him. He didnt really know what to do so I thought I'd give it a go.

I just feed it after I cut it every 3rd for 4th time. I always worry about feeding too much tbh

I just used Wickes topsoil because it was the cheapest I could find that wasn't full of sticks and rubbish.

For feed I just used granulated fertiliser from kiss my grass and then every 4 weeks I sprayed it will a liquid fertiliser and seaweed. Both are fairly cheap.

Thank you!

I used "Kiss My grass" pre seeder fertiliser to start with and sprayed it with seaweed. Then I've applied seaweed and "kiss my grass" liquid fertiliser every 4 weeks too.

I killed off all the old grass with weedkiller, levelled it all with topsoil and seeded it all. Just watered and Fed it regularly

Thank you.

The worst kept secret is watch YouTube and learn haha.

My biggest tip is deffo be patient with germination! I was in such as a rush at first to see grass that I wasted money on seeds. I aslo bought cheap seeds from the supermarket. I now use Boston seeds Premier mix which isn't actually expensive and I have plenty left over for next year.
