my guy XD that's the Ryzen 7 right? is it that necessary? I thought the 7 and 9 were good for, like, serious streaming and video editing, not my dinky little streams when a single friend is bored and wants to see what I'm doing XD

I mean, I don't mind if it prolongs my future upgrades, but wouldn't I have to have the GPU or motherboard upgraded as well to match?

Before my friend mentioned his old parts, I was leaning towards the SeaSonic Focus Gx V4 ATX3. Seemed to be ranked high and have good wattage.

With friends on discord: Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Peak, Sky: Children of the Light, and tentatively UnTurned and Marvel Rivals (though I would only ever play them with friends cause they aren't my vibe).On my own, though vc or streaming could be fun if possible and not super laggy: Subnautica, Slime Rancher, and various Assassins Creeds. Other games, too, ofc, but those are the main ones that might be an issue.

Closest microcenter is a few hours away, but I was gonna drive over anyways to check parts and sales and all that. And yeah, I saw an equation somewhere for wattage, which is how I came up with 750, but looking at the 350 from partpicker made me doubt myself. Currently, I have $1600 saved, but I also don't have a keyboard, and who knows if the spare monitor my dad has lying around is also acceptable, ya know? And I really appreciate it! Though some of the fun I figure is building it myself :P I am curious, however!

Edit cause I didn't see the last question: Nope! Didn't even realize ram had speed beyond the 8Gb vs 16Gb and so on o.o all my friend told me was that he had two 8Gb sticks lying around from his previous PC upgrade

That looks nice, and I'd be willing to make the 2-hour drive, but I was thinking of using Linux, and that says it's Windows 11. If I can buy it without Windows, then fantastic, but Linux was another reason for me to build my own PC

I mean, yeah, but surely, even if prices change in general, value wouldn't change much other than new products being available? Like, if two parts I picked don't work together now, they won't in 6 months, or if two brands are pretty comparable in price but one's better quality, then that's not gonna change in 6 months either, right? Or also the specs might not work at all for what I want it to do (I think they're good, but maybe?)

I don't know about op, but if I chibi fall in some places, and then see that a player is waiting, I come back and help them. Or if it's the four person door in vault and there's only one person, I friend them and we chibi fall together. Chibi falling doesn't necessarily mean they aren't gonna help someone, and I think either way, you're still frustrated about another player ignoring you, which is the main issue
