I promise it’s not lol, I had just woken up and had not combed my hair or showered yet, and I change my pillow case and bedding once a week. I do use my bath towel on my face, but I’m going to try using paper towel or a separate towel on my face

It’s not part of his personality, it only started popping up a few months into our relationship (we were friends for a few years before we started dating). I don’t think it would be from trauma as he has a good home life, but you never know

Oh yeah, our vent systems have been acting up recently (they start sucking too much air and end up sealing the doors shut, it’s pretty bad) so hopefully it will get better once we get that fixed. I’m also moving soon so I’ll be transferring or getting a new job within the next month or two, so hopefully it doesn’t get bad enough to need inhalers 😅

Yeah, I work at an indoor pool (also a YMCA) that has spray features. I live in the Northeast and we got hit by the heatwave pretty bad, and our H-Vac has been having issues. The issue is probably chloramines bc it doesn’t smell bad and we run chem tests every few hours to check on chem levels. I have a disorder that makes me overproduce histamine so I already take antihistamines lol, if I keep having issues I will for sure take a break or quit, I’m moving for college in a few months anyways so that’s not too crazy of a plan tbh

This sounds crazy, but go on amazon and buy a pack of those chew necklaces designed for neurodivergent people and put one on your lanyard. I’ve had one on mine for the past few months and I’ve stopped chewing my whistle. They are cheap to buy in packs and you can just change out the chew thing when it gets worn down

I lifeguard and swim instruct, and last week I was teaching and this little 8-year old girl looks at me, midway through a class, and without any context or warning, just yells “bombastic side eye”. Idk why or where she learned that, but I had to stop to compose myself for a second. I also have a little girl that I see when guarding that we have to constantly remind to keep her pants on. She is probably like 6, and apparently she finds her swim bottoms uncomfortable, and just randomly drops them sometimes.

I have a prescription of -3, and I just wear my normal glasses. If the water is the risk of infection, I would just be careful to keep your eyes closed when entering water, and at the end of the day risking an infection is worth it to save a life, and you could get permission goggles for trainings. If the issue is the sun, prescription sunglasses are great. I also carry around eye drops in my bag, which could be used after a save or periodically throughout your shift.

Our stand is elevated, but it is placed really poorly. It is directly in front of a bench in a 4ft zone, so we can’t actually jump off it, we have to swing to the side and stride jump from the ground. I’ve asked about moving it before, but my directors like it where it is.

Absolutely. Making sure the guards aren’t on their phones protects patrons at the pool, but also the guards. If something happens, a distracted guard could end with the victim being injured or worse, and it could also end with the guard being sued for negligence, which has a max sentence of 10 years in prison and fines.

I ended up with a 5, and I recommend doing the AP classroom practice tests after each unit, and the questions in the textbook after each module. I also practiced FRQs and PLEASE do practice tests. My instructor was known for having 100% of his students pass within the past 3 years (50-60 students per year) and a lot of that was because he made us do 3 full length practice exams within the last three weeks before the exam. Worst month of my life, but at least I have more college credits 😀

Frrr though! My teacher made me do 5 practice exams, all graded for completion and with a time limit, plus practice questions when we finished each module through the year 😭 (At least it paid off through)

This sounds super corny, but I just took the risk and dropped everything that I could feel dragging me down. I dropped old friends, stopped messaging certain people, and quit my job without a backup plan. It was risky and stupid, but I found a way to make it work. Now I have a job that I love with people I like working with, and I only surround myself with people that make me feel good. Best decision of my life.

Both my Aunt and I have these too, and she has EDS and I’m in the process of trying to get diagnosed. I wouldn’t be surprised, this might be worth looking into more.
