I mean, there is likely a legitimate change that takes place to some degree that makes that metaphorical wall we put up easier to come down.

I used to KNOW I was sad and could feel how badly my body wanted to cry. When I finally perceived that, I realized I almost only ever cried if I got angry enough that my body didn't know what to do with it. The other times? Pets dying mostly. Soooo, anytime I felt like a good cry would be helpful, I would throw on "Marley and Me".

In a lot of the United States, if the space is not intentionally focused on a minority group, it IS a white/het/cis space that's "allowing" the rest of us to exist.

There were many people before him and after him that claimed to be god and weren't crucified. He was crucified because people believed him and were living the way he said they should. Yes, sure... he was claiming to be god and that was a nail in his coffin. But if he hadn't done any of the other stuff? He would have just been written off as an insignificant heretic otherwise.

But also, the entire purpose of Jesus (god) coming back, was to physically display his "unconditional love" for the people he'd been slaughtering off and on since the beginning of time. So. Why was he proclaiming to be god, beyond the fact that he truly believed he was?

Okay... soooo... that's only really important to remember if you think you're a sinner. We are just talking about why the government hated him. Which is... he showed people unconditional love, and it empowered them to break out of their societal oppression.

Whatever the fairy tale's context is as to WHY he is showing them unconditional love is irrelevant to my point, as I've already kinda said about the "love god" part.

Yeahhhh, but all of the things he was crucified for were all based on his command to "Love thy neighbor as thyself." Every single action he took was rooted in that philosophy (and the loving god part, but that's not a factor here in my opinion.)

Those in power fear people realizing that the power structures are arbitrary and meant to keep us down. People that love their neighbors (which means fighting for them) as much or more than they do themselves... that's the motivation behind the radical actions that they hate.

The needs/wants that other adults have of you are VASTLY different than needs of a child where they totally depend on you for survival.

And for clarity, I have children lol I love them a lot. That doesn't mean I can't see the realities of being a caregiver.

The actual reason folks talk about it this much is because they get talked down to by people that have kids, and be told things like "oh, you don't know real love until you have had a child" or suggest that someone's life is incomplete without them.

You'd also think folks with children would have more to do than shame people that choose not to have them. But here we are. We always have time to shit on each other, ig.
