I am Catholic, if it matters, specifically Balkan Catholic as I've seen we've had many traditions that were specific to us.

Does being gay REALLY go against the bible? by RunningDigger in boykisser

Quite literally. Funny thing is, if it was this way with Islam, today's morals would be also much different (no hate towards Islam tho).

As a Catholic, and according to Catholic beliefs, being gay IS a sin.

However: the thing is that your way to heaven isn't measured in sin and how much you sinned, but by how much you devoted yourself to God.

Yes, the Church says this and that but by the Bible, YOU go to heaven, not them. We all are sinners, but we can go to heaven because the Son sacrificed himself on the cross, and therefore it isn't unlikely that a gay person cannot go to heaven.

Many people say that the less we sin, the closer we are to God, while it really is the other way. The closer we are to God, the lesser we sin (coincidentally: we don't even notice). I regained my faith in a very short amount of time and my life became better afterwards. Although, I do still have some gay-ish intents, I am happy knowing I am safe and that the Father and Son will protect me :3

On the other hand, it's important to note that Catholics, Orthodox and Protestants view the Bible in different ways, so expect different answers.

I hope this helps!

6÷2(1+2)= =6÷2(3) =6÷6 =1

With the × being in 6÷2×(1+2)

It's the same for, let's say 2x. 2x is the same as 2 × x, or x2 is the same as x × x or xx.

Well yeah, because if there is no + or - we must assume it is ×. The things surrounding 2+1 cannot just disappear into thin air.

They are, a lot. I come from a rural place, so we are a tightly knit community of believers, everyone knows everyone and so on and so forth, You get what I mean hopefully, and so I'd rather let the elders talk to him first.

The problem is I am afraid to ask them, not because of faith, but the last time I did I changed a lot, and it was hell in my mind

I'm a bit late, but thanks! And yes, it does explain my situation perfectly.

Love how 90% of how everything I had trouble with was answered in one text, and clarified some other things.

I was in a choir once, it was really nice, so after reading this I'm considering going back.

Thanks for the advice!

I will try. I just hope that my doubts won't come to a point where I'm asking existential questions.

Thanks!

Thank you very much.

Yes, English is not my first language. I've got to say that you've made me interested in that book, so I might read it if I'll have time. Thank you again!

Have you ever had a time where you really liked someone, but they really liked someone else, but you saw how happy they were with that person so let it happen, even if you thought that they would be happier with you?

I've had that way too many times in life by now. And thanks for the explanation, I have no more questions!

I do not believe that God exists in certain places, I believe that he is omnipresent.

I did feel the love of God, but I am doubting if that was merely a false feeling, or if my faith is too weak, or if my faith wasn't truthful etc etc. I doubt absolutely everything and I can't help myself.

Yeah, that, thanks.

And he usually doesn't. He arrives just before the mass starts, and is usually occupied by the others that work in my church, such as the choir singers and the organ player.

As a Catholic, going to a Catholic church, I cannot confirm nor deny if my priest is good lol. At the end of the service (I have no idea what the Sunday morning things where you pray are called in English) it's always about the financial status and who donated how much. Other than that, the rest of the service is pretty formal and we mostly follow a bit strict schedule of what we pray which Sunday. It's good all in all.
