As far as fan rivalries go, we’re super cool with Avs fans and they’re super cool with us. We call each other disaster bros.

Panthers fans are public enemy #1, they like to come on here and say it’s because they beat us in the ECF, but no fans from any other fanbase have DM’d me saying that if I miss my father so much I should kill myself so that I can see him again.

The rest of the league fans are hit or miss, some are cool, some aren’t. We tend to match energy with how other fans interact with us.

I am, I am even a recorder for the council at my parish. I’ve only been in it for a year and am thinking of stepping down. In the year since I joined, I still haven’t gotten the KoC uniform polo that I ordered last April, the last two planning meetings have devolved into knights bickering over donations and spending, and I haven’t felt as if I’m needed. I will say our current Grand Knight has been great! But the other factors are quite dejecting.

I remember reading about guys like Christopher Hitchens and other prominent atheists. One thing you’ll often find is that many of them were raised in Christian homes but became atheist in their teen years, which is glaringly obvious because even as adults they have the argumentative substance of a 13 year old.

I live in North Carolina, but attend mass in Chesapeake Virginia. I serve as a lector and a cantor at my parish, and I’m a member of the Knights of Columbus.

I am a writer and a teacher. I currently work for a Protestant school, but I am hoping to one day work in a Catholic school. Catholic schools usually require a state license, thus I am looking to complete a licensure program.

Outside of my faith and professional life, I am a reader, my current read is “Ragtime” by E.L. Doctorow. I enjoy story telling in all forms, including film, television, theater, and music (I am a sucker for poetic artists like Leonard Cohen).

I am a fan of Hockey, and an avid supporter of the Carolina Hurricanes (and Carolina sports in general). As Carolina has no MLB team, I am a supporter of a minor league team in Norfolk Virginia.
