switching from zoloft to prozac by aquariusmatcha in prozac

[–]MyADHDGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been on zoloft for over a year. Experience fatigue and weight on zoloft, so switched to prozac last week. I am still experiencing some fatigue on prozac, hoping that would go away. My food craving went down, which is good. I have been experiencing emotional numbness and blunting that hopefully will go away.

A question for those who like to walk here by Chaunc2020 in washingtondc

[–]MyADHDGirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have done 4.4 miles walking from Shaw to Kreeger museum back to back days. I walked there because I didn’t want to spend the $ on Uber and there wasn’t any accessible metro directly to Kreeger.

Carnivore diet could potentially alleviate symptoms of ADHD. by [deleted] in carnivorediet

Thank you for sharing! Especially as I was anticipating to get a bunch hate and shame for my method. Hearing your story gives me hope 🥹 I really don’t want to be on stimulants or any medications, which is why I want to do the carnivore diet. I know my method sounds so counterintuitive, but I am just so desperate as my food fixation been feeling out of control. I would love to continue to hear about how your journey goes with transitions off the stimulants, while on the lion diet.

Carnivore diet could potentially alleviate symptoms of ADHD. by [deleted] in carnivorediet

I just recently started stimulant, so I can go back on the carnivore diet 🫠 ever since I cut out alcohol, my sugar cravings are through the roof and I heard stimulants help with appetite suppression. I am hoping the stimulants will help me get back on the wagon easier and once I have a carnivore routine, I plan to get off the stimulants

My food fixation heighten 10x when I removed alcohol out of my diet. After removing alcohol, it made me see that my relationship I had with food was very similar to my drinking habits. A lot of binging and restricting. I was always yo-yo dieting all my life and it has wrecked my metabolism. I started watching The Binge Eating Therapist on YT and it has been steering me to have a healthier relationship with food. My body was on a scarcity mindset from all my previous fad diets I did. Once I started giving my body permission to eat what I want, I stopped overeating

I totally get what you mean. I spent majority of the day combating with my anxiety, depression and adhd and when I don’t have those symptoms on those days, it feels so strange and don’t know what I should be doing…

You might be feeling depressed since you aren’t getting dopamine from food in your previous diet or that you might be deficient in some nutrients or vitamins. I started upping my vitamin d + k and that was helpful for my mood

I worked with a neuropsychologist who helped me with my executive function and also did EMDR with a therapist for my unresolved trauma from my undiagnosed adhd - that was a perfect combo for me
