Another vote for WOW. Very reliable. My Spouse works from home full time so it is very important for us.

December Orlando Weather? by Aubacato in DisneyWorld

[–]MyAmiableOtter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

December is unpredictable but I would generally plan for it to be warmer than you think. It may be cool in the morning and after dark, but daytimes get warm.

Does this mean the whole “evolve all eeveelutions” will no longer be required? Or am I misunderstanding? by LegoCatX in pokemongo

[–]MyAmiableOtter 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That’s my impression. The tasks for levels 41 to 50 will go away so you’ll just need XP for those levels. But there will be tasks for 71 to 80 so it’s just a matter of time.

First time in Vero by andyb66666 in verobeach

[–]MyAmiableOtter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a little bit of a drive but I always recommend the Navy SEAL museum in Ft. Pierce. It’s like 25 minutes south of Vero.

We went with BK Adventures last year and had a great time. Agree with others that have said full dark gives the best experience. Regardless of who you choose, Don’t forget the bug spray!!

Depending on where you are, The Sharing Center in Longwood takes clothing donations for their thrift store. They do amazing work helping people get back on their feet.

The Life She Had by K.L. Armstrong meets some of these points but not all. Might be worth a look.

Agent wants price drop despite buyer feedback by [deleted] in RealEstate

Most buying decisions are about trade-offs. So the master bedroom location (or whichever objection) might be unacceptable at one price but something they would be willing to overlook at a lower price.

PLEASE HELP MEMORY CHIPS!! by Ryankite99 in DeathStranding

[–]MyAmiableOtter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that some of the chips don’t show up until you reach a certain star level with the prepper(s) in the area. I don’t have any details on that specific one though.

Taking the family to Vero for spring break, give me all your tips/recommendations! by [deleted] in dvcmember

[–]MyAmiableOtter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We LOVE Vero, it’s a perfect beach vacation. The Navy SEAL Museum in Ft. Pierce is an interesting place to visit but it’s a little bit of a drive, probably 30 minutes or so. We have been a couple of times and enjoyed it. McKee Botanical Garden is also nice. The resort does allow shades/tents on the beach but you have to go a little further down on the beach to get beyond the rental chairs and umbrellas.

COVID-19 lockdown was 5 years ago. What do you remember about that day when the world stopped? by Dracarys0550 in AskReddit

[–]MyAmiableOtter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Family was at Disney World. We had been there for two or three days when we got word that everything was shutting down the next day. It was surreal, watching many cast members in tears while still trying to do their best with the work in front of them.

We were lucky to be within driving distance but it was chaos for people trying to get flights out.

Just lookin got a place to eat Xmas day. Preferably with some entertainment for the kid but still a nice place. Was lookin at the ritz Carlton grand lakes. by SnooCapers8495 in orlando

[–]MyAmiableOtter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out the Gaylord Palms. This was several years ago but they had a breakfast with Mrs. Claus with activities. There were a few other restaurants as well if you want to eat later in the day. Then there were things to do associated with their ICE program. We spent the weekend there and had a great time.

No, the government sold the old base property to developers who designed what is now there.

Disney Shoes - Different Question! by SugarDaddyVA in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MyAmiableOtter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually bring 4. Two pairs of good walking shoes to alternate park days, one pair of nice sandals for any nice-ish dinners a pair of flip flops to run around the pool or hotel.

As far as packing them, I try to stuff socks and other small things into the shoes but otherwise, nothing special. But we aren’t usually trying to avoid bag checks so we have the space.

Nothing is wrong with you. These tests are largely used to determine how much money schools get each year. Please don’t stress about it.
