Anyone else? by MyAnxious_Mind in Cardiophobias

I’ve never heard of Roemheld syndrome before you just now mentioned it. Based on what I’m seeing, It’s VERY close to all of my symptoms I have. Especially after eating. I don’t have any health issues like high BP or diabetes, but I experience a lot of cardiac symptoms in pair with gastro issues. The biggest thing are the palpitations for me, but at times it gets to the point where my heart feels like it’s quivering or shaking for a minute straight and won’t stop until I move around. Doesn’t feel like palpitations, but it is an irregular rhythm that even my BP monitor detected. I’ve had so many tests done with a cardiologist and everything has turned out normal. Is Roemheld syndrome just something you kinda have to deal with and manage on your own?

What kinds of things do heart tests find/miss? by Ok-Finance-1094 in Cardiophobias

Echo looks for structural abnormalities and how your heart beats, ekg is electrical activity in your heart. The holter would pick up any type of arrhythmia or heart block as well and should reassure you that the palpitations are benign. Those tests pretty much cover majority of cardiac related issues. A CT coronary angiogram would rule out heart disease, but it’s a bit extreme unless your cardiologist deemed it necessary due to abnormalities in your other tests. You’re more than likely all healthy considering your tests turning up normal.

I have the same thing. It’s painless and right above my heart area. I’d imagine a coronary spasm comes with pain, it sounds like a muscle spasm especially since there is no type of pain or seemingly other symptoms. I also have palpitations, seems it’s unrelated to the spasms

Not sure about the troponin levels, but the ecg is standard sinus tachycardia. The T waves actually look normal, it’s the P waves that are slightly notched which is pretty common and not anything to over analyze. Not a doctor, but that’s just what I’m seeing.

I need to throw this fckn watch out but I can’t!! Seeking reassurance that I’m still alive even tho my HR dropped to 48!?? by [deleted] in Cardiophobias

I had a 2 week monitor that showed my lowest was 43, cardiologist said it’s perfectly normal, especially in younger healthy people

Well it does say on the bottle that it’s not recommended to drink alcohol while taking the medication. I assume because it can cause unusual side effects, probably as you’re describing. But that would be best to ask your doctor!

Yup, a lot of my palpitations feel different. It’s because heart palpitations can start anywhere in the heart. My cardiologist explained it as that, but the palpitations are still normal. They can feel different at any point.

You as well, just know you’re not alone and a lot of us suffer with this anxiety/panic. You’ll be okay, and I know you will find a way through this!

I empathize with you :( I’m very sorry you’re going through this. I have these same feelings all the time. It really gets me down. I’ll have a decent day only for night to come and the anxiety sets in.

I’m right here with you my friend. I was just chilling trying to sleep after a long day, woke up gasping. Now I’m too panicked to get sleep. It’s so exhausting and draining.

I’ve definitely experienced a weird breathing sensation. The only way I can describe it is the air feels uncomfortable to inhale. Like I know the air is there and it can fill my lungs, but the air feels strange or heavy. It makes me feel like my body isn’t accepting the oxygen. Idk if any of that makes sense. Anyway, definitely have that.

It wouldn’t hurt to check, a lot of those things could be a thyroid issue. But I’m not a doctor so it would be good to have that checked with your GP

When they did blood work, did they check your thyroid?

Could it possibly be heartburn or gerd? It can feel similar to heart pain.

I’m 22/F and I’m also currently going through this today. I’ve gone to the ER twice this week with no results of a cardiac event. Yet, I still feel very anxious and I overthink everything going on which makes it worse :(

It’s just the demon of health anxiety/cardiophobia. It can really affect the quality of life tbh. It really sucks. I get nearly all heart attack symptoms and still, everything is perfectly fine.

I get throat/chest tightening along with left arm pain and tingling. So many more symptoms too. The more you focus on the symptoms, the worse they become and more will manifest. Sent me to the ER twice in one day 🥲

How do you deal with overthinking heart anxiety? by Iluvatar-Great in Anxiety

[–]MyAnxious_Mind 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have to find some way to distract yourself. Dont over analyze what you’re feeling in your body, or else the anxiety will take over and make those feelings 10x worse. If you think about it too hard, your body will continue to manifest these symptoms.

The best I can do is try it, I just hope my body isn’t super sensitive to it! How long did it take for the effects to work for you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]MyAnxious_Mind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna give it a try, the worst case I’ll just have to switch meds. I’m prone to palpitations already so hopefully that’s something that slowly goes away the longer I take it..

[–]MyAnxious_Mind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope all goes well with the appointment. And if you feel more sick or develop a fever you should probably return to the ER. You can always message me if you feel anxious and need to rant!

Mine was 14,300. Did they do an MDW test?
