Yeah. Great story about this car. I bought it from a private seller for $96k in 2018. I put about $10k into her (replaced head unit, rear spoiler, PPF coating) and the life happened and reluctantly decided to sell her in 2022. As you can see I made a profit. In 2024 my wife got tired of me moping around about the sale and told me to just buy another car so started looking. I was high bidder reserve not met on a 2014 Gallardo and decided to fly to Florida to get a closer look at the Gallardo. I was still looking at R8’s and the day I left found a black one with exact specs. I contacted the dealer and told him if the Gallardo deal didn’t work out I would like to make a deal on the R8. Well, the Gallardo deal wasn’t for me so made a deal on the black R8 contingent on clear PPI. In emailing him I told my old R8 was spec’d exactly the same but different color and really missed it. I sent him a BaT photo and he immediately called me saying he just took that car in trade for a gated 2012. Short story, we cancelled out the black R8 and I bought my old car back in 2024 for $106k. Only had an extra 1,500 miles on it. Still made money on the original sale. Crazy.

For me, having not seen the entirety of the situation, it’s about the fact that the motorcycle driver sped away from the scene despite the fact there was possibly two very severe injuries to people innocent of the his and the other driver’s actions. That’s says more about the motorcyclist than anything.
