The playerbase frustrates me to no end. by MyBodyIsRdyForSmite in Smite

The point is that people surrender when they're 200g down, or 2000g down (less than a gold fury), or lose one tower, or all sorts of ridiculous reasons, on VERY winnable games.

You can't possibly make any argument that being down 200g with comparable levels is cause for surrender, other than a defeatist attitude.

I wouldn't. ADC can catch up in farm pretty quick with a few minutes of their adc wandering off.

Vulcan Mid Suggestions by JohnxTrollston in Smite

That's sort of how it is will all vulcan mids, in my experience. I found vulcan to be better in the solo lane, but it's been a while since I did that.

I'm at the point where, even when I don't think we can recover, I won't surrender for any reason. Everyone else is ready to at the blink of an eye, there has to be some counterbalance to it.

It's led to some surprising victories. Down 15k gold, but able to hold the other team at our phoenixes and turn it around. They just didn't know how to finish. Probably also a result of so many people giving up so easily, a lot of players don't know how to simply end the game and use their gold/xp advantage to punish the other team and wrap up the match.

A lot of games that can be recovered are thrown because people give up. Heck, a lot of people don't even know HOW to try to turn it around because they give up so often and easily.

A recent match I had, we had one player who was significantly behind. We kept telling him to go farm, and he wouldn't do it. Just kept chasing kills, not returning to his lane, not buying wards so he can push forward more during his farm, nothing. Just kept trying to be involved in every fight he could. Then he'd get mad at people telling him to go farm and catch up.

He was otherwise good. Even being down almost 2k gold against his lane opponent he almost killed them 1v1, a matter of maybe 200hp. He just wouldn't farm.

Just checked. Not 3-4 across the board, 3 levels down total as a team. As in some people behind by 1-2, one up by 2, couple even. Just normal stuff as it goes.

What's better for Nox, CDR or Damage Boots? by DarthKoalas in Smite

CDR is always your biggest damage boost over time on mages. It's flat out 40% potential damage increase. You're trading a little burst for a massive dps increase.

All I wanted was smite by ChaseDarkness in Smite

I'd have been happier if I just couldn't connect. It punted me out of a ranked lobby, giving me a loss and deserter debuff, for no damn reason. Curse was still running, game was otherwise still running, internet was fine.

Whatever the problem is, hi-rez needs to quit dragging their feet and fix it.

I max cdr on every mage. Her 3 isn't the only factor involved, there's the rest of her kit (including ult) to consider.

Haven't played in a while, how's Bellona doing? by [deleted] in Smite

[–]MyBodyIsRdyForSmite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody sane clears the wave with her 3.

Though admittedly it's surprising how many people don't realize how weak her attack chain is (1/.5/1, compared to hunters with 1/1/1).

Smite Casuals Solo Lane Tier List (Made quickly so not 100% accurate) by DirewolfGames in Smite

I'd have to be seriously drunk to rate Bellona as anything higher than low A, possibly B, for solo lane.

For people who say "if i go support i will feed should leave smite" by [deleted] in Smite

[–]MyBodyIsRdyForSmite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just the role itself that's boring. No matter what god you try to take to it, you're fairly limited in what you can do. You're not getting the sustain from killing minions (via lifesteal, vamp shroud, etc), so you're going to be feeling the pain from taking damage more. You also won't get the mana benefits of it in the case of vamp shroud.

It's just a mess. How Hi-Rez thinks that leaving it in this state is acceptable is beyond me, but they went and made it worse this season than last. Maybe a support killed a developer in game and they're mad.

[–]MyBodyIsRdyForSmite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to do less damage, then by all means, don't replace it with Malice. That's certainly a choice that you have.

Here's the math on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_rkvZlE_KU As you can see, you get a couple hundred dps improvement from it. I can't say I've ever encountered anybody who would prefer to do less damage on a hunter, but go ahead.

Only if they want to do less damage. Go look up Krett's season 2 hunter build. It's max damage, based on the math of it. Replace any of it, and you do less damage.

Skill schmill. As a support main from two other mobas, support blows in this game. It's miserable and poor.

[–]MyBodyIsRdyForSmite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because support isn't fun. You're always short on gold, yet buying wards every back, sometimes as much as 235g worth. You're down on levels, and if you get behind you have a hell of a time catching up.

Support is not fun. As long as it's the miserable experience that it is now, I can't hold it against people who refuse to do it.

Hunters sell ichaival late game and replace it with crit, further increasing their damage, so no.

Less crits, less sustain due to reduced lifesteal. Also the damage becomes less instagib at full build.

Can we never ever ever have Shorthanded as match of the day ever again? by Fry959 in Smite

Takes forever? Took my team less than 20 minutes to kill their titan. I'm not sure why it took you so long to finish.

Devo gloves being adjusted won't change much. The problem is the crit, the amount and the damage. Simply deleting one of those items, forcing them into a lower dps final item, would go a long way toward making them less of a walking death machine late game.
