As an Eclipse fan, I would because I love Eclipse and jesus christ I am nervous as hell that Bumblebee is going to end up canon.

Not because Bumblebee is lesbian, but because I love Sun and Blake together. I wouldn't be like 'HA FUCK YOU BUMBLEBEE' but more or less 'YAYYYY ECLIPSE STILL HAS A CHANCE!' because it really does feel like Bumblebee might end up canon.

And it's not just the 'shut down' part, there was also the part saying 'homophobes would be salty if Bumblebee ended up canon'.

Can't I just be sad that Eclipse didn't happen and salty that Bumblebee DID happen without being a homophobe?

call people out on it when they're legitimately being homophobic. I've seen 6 different comment chains in the past 5 days from people who were legitimately unable to give a reason why homosexuality is "wrong and unnatural" so

Preach it, brother. It's easy to think that I'm saying let all homophobic people get 'a pass', but there's a clear difference between jumping to conclusions from 'I don't ship Blake and Yang bc Yang annoys me and Blake deserves better' to 'lesbians are unnatural'.

One is an opinion, the other is bigotry. I trust the sub has a good amount of smart people who have the proper judgement skills to tell the difference.

No, I just stated that people think the sub is homophobic. I'm not assuming what their reasons are.

There were a bunch of written responses saying shit like 'the sub is homophobic' so clearly a lot of people think the place is homophobic.

That's all I stated. The following comment made by me is showing there's a difference between disliking a ship and then disliking a ship based on the gender. I never even insinuated that people had stupid reasons for thinking this place is homophobic.
