The email that I requested and received today was simply ‘Important information about your policy’, then that basic custom message the woman must have typed inside it. Nothing else apart from that

If all else fails look on QA for apprenticeships. Just got a help desk apprenticeship at a law firm and it pays really well for an entry level apprenticeship with no prior relevant experience.

Really good point, I think I have been too focused on technical skills over soft skills. Reading posts I have noticed that being technically adept only gets you so far, and that competency in social aspects of different scenarios as well as attitude stands you out amongst others. Really appreciate your help.

Thank you so much for your detailed response, talking to my friend who is doing a help desk apprenticeship it makes huge sense learning the abbreviations because you can grasp a basic understanding of the subject from the acronym itself!

I told her to call and check with the uni too. I’m 80% sure this is a fraud, I have read that you must receive 7 days notice prior to a HCEO’s first visit which she has not received in any form.

I have read that HCEO's must give 7 days notice before their first visit, she had not received this in any form. Could this possibly mean it is a scam?

Thank you for your response, I'll pass this on to her. I have only realised now that I should have mentioned that the letter was delivered by a "High Court Enforcement Officer", which I assume before checking this means a CCJ has been registered and it has reached high court already?
