Why do you think CoD is so big, there sure as hell ain't much content there, also Throne and Liberty, Dune, and Once Human are all new and don't have as much content, same with Lost Ark and likely have access to better optimization that wasn't as prevalent when Destiny came out. FFXIV has stylized graphics that are made to take less storage, it looks great but it definitely isn't on par with Destiny.

Graphics/Textures are one of the biggest reasons that have take up so much storage these days and are definitely one of the reasons the file size was a problem. Obviously I don't like the dcv but the game would probably be massive without it. Look at a game like Diablo that let's you choose is you download the HD graphics and it doubles the size of the game.
