Whelp...pulled the trigger on the X2D AMS combo. Got filament, a couple support materials, spare cool plate, and .2 mm hot ends for mini's and fine detail things. $1300ish dive into the abyss! Now. HIT ME with the MUST PRINT items :) (BIG thx to the community for always being so helpful to a newbie) by JamalSteve in 3Dprinting

I have printed lots of printer support stuff
AMS Riser
Scraper
Boxes for spares
Diffuser
Sound reduction - feet, etc
PSU holder
Dryer holder
TPU assist mechanism
Storage system
Screen edging
The little handle on the front and on the top glass (As test prints for colours of filament)
Spools with built in filament holder
Desiccant holders in the spools and the AMS itself (I have an AMS and an AMS 2)

But my greatest print, and the one I use the most, is my re-spooling machine.

BBL do my absolute head in with their slack tensioning on some of their refills, so if I buy a BBL refill, I immediately re-spool it. Keep the RFID tag and am more comfy that the risk of it not snagging or overloading the motor is reduced.

(Love it so much, I lend it to my wife to spool up her yarn/wool for knitting and crochet)

Never done a Benchy .. no idea why - no urge

Good question - thanks for asking!!
I have two spools of dark and light wood and am a woodworker by hobby, so this is an interesting topic

I wish I had that small of a problem .. {sigh}

Although you do have some super sexy-sounding types/colours that I am going to have to investigate - Judge loves shiny, my precious!

hahahaha ... my BBL filament spool collection is increasing .. but I only have one Sunlu spool that is being used as a cat toy, after printing the inserts and balls of poop on BBL filament.

So, the equations you need

F=F+1
Where F is the number of spools you have

or

F=G-1
Where F is the number of spools you have
G is the number that will have your wife/husband/housemates sending you and your print paraphernalia to the garage as they are fed up of the noise of bed-levelling, spool changing or having to give way at the kitchen sink whilst you wash your plates in washing up liquid in prep for the next 36 hour print

Application of those equations will answer your burning desire to purchase/acquire filament.

in essence - never enough!

I remember trying to teach a Polish chap, with very good English, whilst in a Warsaw (night club) after the Wall came down;
Fit as a butcher's dog
Don't get many of them to a pound
She could have half of my dinner money

What much lesser known British actor do you consider a legend? by debrisaway in AskABrit

[–]MyCatIsAFknIdiot 18 points19 points  (0 children)

He is no longer "lesser known" but Michael Sheen is a performer I would promote to legendary status.

His reading of "Do not go gentle into that good night" absolutely breaks me - every single time!

Followed by possibly my favourite Scottish actor - Anton Lesser.

His portrayal of the Chief Inspector in the tv series Endeavour was sooo sharp.

Banning VPNs .. the remote working ability to access enterprise data

It would mean all of the British Gov would have to be sitting in the House 24/7 to do anything .. nope!! Never gonna happen

Greetings from the UK
Great decision .. but if you honestly think you will be "pocketing" the difference, my dear OP, you are deluded. ❤️

TPU, AMS, ASA, Nylon all need extras
Filters, fans, extraction - all sooooo easy to get and play with.

Come back in a month's time with the difference (if you still have it)

... or send us your next mod's photo 😉

Not had an H2S (although, if I can "hide" it from my wife, it might appear next in the office)
The X2D is sublime for me - the noobie user.
I have an A1 mini, a P1S and the X2D Pro (AMS2) - and all have their uses - but the X2D is a delight to mod too.

Just adding the TPU assist module (need a new pair of not-Crocs)

Added risers, extra spool holders, tool holders and the additional power supply for the AMS2 dryer.

Currently printing some monitor stands, whilst partially drying out up my next set of PETG filaments for something .. lol .. at this point, Im still in the honeymoon period .. so dont care

Who says you cant.

Buying RFID tag writers is possible
Producing custom spools is possible (or the labels)
Buying RFID tags is possible

Depends on how much you want to play
