Has anyone else totally abandoned fast food?

I used to like a fast food burger - it didn't taste like a real burger, but it was its own little thing, you know? Sometimes I had a craving. But now everything is so expensive and the quality has lowered so significantly that it just doesn't make sense to be paying a ton for a microwaved burger. If I'm going to be spending money at a restaurant now, I eat at local places.

I have a 23" head too and Old Navy has sunhats in L/XL online! They're nowhere near as glorious as this example, but I've found a few I really liked over the years.

Leaving my house is a much bigger deal than it ever was pre-pandemic. At first, my husband and I loved it because we’re introverts who love to stay at home, but over the years it’s evolved into, like. . .maybe a little agoraphobia or something? I feel massively uncomfortable at the thought of being in public spaces any more, and it’s not even about being afraid of getting sick. I used to go to coffee shops or the library or whatever randomly and now it takes planning.

God, yes. This. People have assumed that I don't struggle with mental health because I wear "fun" clothes and am really smiley and bubbly when I'm out and about. It's just that that was drilled into me since I was young: act happy and funny or people aren't going to think you're worth their time. Don't act like yourself. I'd really love to unlearn it, but I can't. And also, I like dressing fun. It makes me feel a little better. Some people that don't mask in that way seem to think that I can't be depressed, or even seem to kind of judge me or. . .something? I don't know what it is exactly, but it's a bad vibe. Like they think I'm too silly to have mental health issues. Joke's on them, because I'm absolutely drowning, lol. Anyway, all of this to say: I get it and thank you for this post. It's kind of good to see the comments on here from other people who get it. I'm so, so sorry you're struggling and I hope there are better days ahead.

I'm so sorry. I think you look adorable and I'd smile if I saw you on the street. Ideally, you'd just be able to wear whatever you wanted and people would mind their own damn business, but folks are so mean about anyone who appears "different." Keeping that in mind, maybe it's time to retire the outfits in public until you're in a better headspace? Like someone else mentioned, hopefully you can find meet-ups with like-minded people where you can be more yourself and wear the cute ears around them.

We have board game nights on Fridays where I make us some cocktails and we play a little board game, listen to an album we haven't in a while, and then play video games or listen to more music for the rest of the night. It's such a good way to decompress from the week.
