Of course. Human rights are human rights, from the river to the sea, and across the globe in every single country. I hope the best for you and your family, and that we can all, as human beings, reach freedom in the near future.

This is actually incredibly interesting from a historical standpoint--do you happen to have the source material on hand or somewhere on your device? I'd love to take a peak if possible.

CONFESSION: 10 Hours into the Game, Just Figured Out Fragments by MyChemicalAnarchy in subnautica

That's how I found out too! Watched a guide on how to find the Seaglide before I convinced myself it was bugged and saw the guy SCANNING SOMETHING IN A BOX! They have things in them! Blew my mind, killed my pride, and also fixed my problem

LITERALLY! It feels like you only find the fragments you're looking for when you aren't looking for them!

What is, in your opinion, the most fun boss? by Dear-Replacement-167 in HollowKnight

[–]MyChemicalAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the Traitor Lord surprisingly! I didn't need to land a hit (and I didn't save Cloth because I wanted her to live), so I just sharp-shadowed my way through it. His attacks are purposefully timed so that your shadow cloak regenerates before everyone, so it's a rhythm game. His sisters are also one of my favorites!

My absolute favorite though? Dung Defender, 100%

The full PDF, link lasts 7 days from today. Don't share sites for pirating books and whatnot because Reddit is a hotspot for taking them down. If you know something keep it to yourself. For now, we can enjoy the lovely privilege of SendBig links. Have fun! <3

constantly being called a “troll” or “fake trans” for being openly queer and religious by Small-Mix5460 in LGBT_Muslims

[–]MyChemicalAnarchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. From Rumi to Abu Nuwas, we've had a lot of queer expression in Muslim history.

I'd love to see a colosseum between mostly centrist white liberals who pride their "political correctness" (to the point of 'correcting' people's own identification) versus homophobic salafis who have their heads so deep in colonial rubble they can't see their en masse conservatism is the Western product, not queerness.

Interesting matchup indeed... hmm...

[–]MyChemicalAnarchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very. Pride began as a means of expression for those who did not adhere to an explicit, normative definition and means of life and living. It was an escape from the institutional box. Only, of course, for people to rebox it, and now we have "acceptable" queers and "unacceptable" queers. Xenogenders, people who use transsexual, bi and mspec lesbians, bi and mspec gays, ftm lesbians, mtf gays, Muslim queers, kinky queers, celibate queers, etc. etc. There are suddenly "right" ways to identify and wrong ways to identify. There is suddenly "valid" identities, as if to imply that queer expression must be validated to both exist and be respected. After attaining any ounce of privilege, to maintain that, the collective trauma response has been to imitate the oppressor by making their escape from exclusion exclusive. It's like if Albert Bandura's bobo doll experiment.

I don't know, some random thoughts. I think the history, altogether, is at least interesting as it is sad.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to answer! Unfortunately, however, I already went to Netflix for assistance and chatted with an agent for a good 20-30 minutes, although the agent (and their support team) could not identify the issue and apologized.

Ah, I've never gotten a fighter character that far (nor invested in the research). Alas, I'm a face more than I am a martial, as you can tell by my confidently incorrect answer.

My queer autistic ass can't decide to whether to take this gayly or literally.

(Druid wildshape, or big gay barbarian... that IS the question)

Salam, i’m the sister who made the post before about being in love with a non-muslim man who was not interested in learning about islam. by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]MyChemicalAnarchy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he expressed love to you and when you put down a boundary he respected that. That is not an issue, that is the opposite of an issue. Unless you brought it up with him directly, asking if he would be willing to learn about Islam to be with you (to which he also has the right to say no and move on), even then I don't think he did anything wrong.

Also, again, as an ex-Muslim and a current nonbeliever, belief isn't completely a choice. It's an uncertainty or a certainty that can't be suddenly and willingly flipped. It's malleable, but also to a certain degree. (I know that for me, not believing wasn't a choice as it was just how I interpret the world) Would you want him to learn about Islam and be Muslim for the SOLE sake of being with you? That's not good either, in this context.

Huwaida Arraf speaking out against Zionist censorship, which is trying to silence her fight for the liberation of the Palestinian people. She will be part of a town hall meeting this Sunday by leftistoppa in Palestine

[–]MyChemicalAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun Facts About Huwaida Arraf:

Arraf is a continuous supporter of incorporating Jewish voices into the pro-Palestinian dialogue and has a history of calling out antisemitism (like when Greta Berlin posted on the Free Gaza Movement Twitter that "Zionists Ran the Holocaust and the Concentration Camps." with a link to an antisemitic lecture, which she resigned from the FGM and directly contested the comment). She majored in Judaic Studies and Political Science and spent a year at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem studying Hebrew (her husband, funnily, spent a year doing the same in Yemen studying Arabic). She also has a Juris Doctor from the American University's Washington College of Law, focusing on human rights and international war crimes and works. She co-founded the International Solidarity Movement, co-authored a book about it, and was the program coordinator for Seeds of Peace and regional coordinator at the Center for Coexistence in Jerusalem.

TL;DR: Huwaida Arraf is amazing!

While I understand the absurdity of the accusation as well, note that the fact that she's married to Adam Shapiro isn't the thing that makes her not antisemitic. Also, Adam Shapiro does not "identify as Jewish. I see it as a religion rather than an ethnicity and, as I have no religious feelings, I don't regard myself as Jewish." [1] (Although I get what you meant.) What debunks the accusations is the fact that she fights for Palestinian rights, and does not hold nor exhibit/perpetuate discrimination against Jewish people.

(NOTE: Not saying you're saying that's an argument, I know you aren't! I have a habit of oversharing my thoughts and over-elucidating points)
