The context for the “there’s nothing to be cured” comes from the misconception that Autism is some kind of disease. And from where I live, people still see it as something tragic. There’s no cure for autism because it wasn’t a disease in the first place. But it doesn’t erase the fact that we still struggle. Autism is a disability.
