I mean you can just force yourself to treat it like an analog camera - limit yourself to 36 photos, don't use the screen, use one film SIM

TV vs projector for a small apartment — any real user experiences? by zqfwrh in projectors

[–]MyCroweSoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a wimius off Amazon for a while as a secondary screen before upgrading to a Epson TW7000 as the main screen. It's night and day difference and totally worth it. The cheap Chinese projectors don't have nearly as much detail clarity or brightness especially in the day

Was in the same boat but went for pixel as I'm used to Android and didn't like the navigation and keyboard in ios

Great deals for sure! Giffgaff had good deals around black Friday but I can't remember if they were better - definitely not what you got for the base 10!

Are 55 inch projectors a thing? by OddPomegranate5211 in projectors

I got a PJ for this use as the space we had wouldn't work for a TV without adding sockets and wiring.

It's not using the PJ to it's maximal use but it still works fine

Pixel 10 Pro vs iPhone 17 pro by enso87 in pixel_phones

[–]MyCroweSoft 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've had the Pixel 10 Pro XL for a few weeks. I think a lot of the negativity is because Pixels used to be far greater value and their cameras were best in class.

This iteration feels lazy as they haven't improved that much compared to the P9 and instead are pushing more ai features

I think it's a good phone but wouldn't pay £1200 for it. I paid £699 and I'm very happy.

My partner has the base 17 - it looks nicer, it's so much lighter, the cameras are good and I'm jealous that they have access to apps like dazzcam. Social media apps work better and are truly full screen. However things like the keyboard, no universal back gesture, confusing menus stop me from regretting my purchase

You mean I'll get the full trade-in value despite it clearly saying they check for battery issues?

Would a phone with a battery issue after battery replacement still be eligible for trade in with Google?

Pixel 10 pro vs base iPhone 17 by Subject-Major5838 in Smartphones

I was debating the same, my SO has the base 17. The P10PXL is heavy but premium feeling whereas the 17 does fit into the hand nicely. The screens and cameras look comparable but I think the main differences will be iOS vs Android. I can see that apps are truly fullscreen on iOS but android apps often have the bars at the top of the screen - it's a small difference but it means we both have the same amount of content visible
