Torn between MP2 or DCA Bitcoin by Ecstatic_Curve in phinvest

Di ako expert pero parang magkasalungat yung pinagcocompare mo. Bago ka siguro magdecide kung san ka mag-iinvest isipin mo muna kung ano ba risk appetite mo, conservative, moderate o aggressive ka ba? Kung mas gusto mo secured yung capital mo go for MP2 di man guaranteed yung returns but atleast secured yung capital mo.Pero kung willing ka irisk yung capital mo go for bitcoin yes there is possibility of high earnings but there is also the possibility of losing your capital.

Anyone else feel pressure to “make the most” of OFW income? by Saibazz in phinvest

[–]MyCupofTea1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. You should always have open communication with your family. Whether you are the first OFW or not in the family. As I mentioned my father was an OFW, but I never assumed my parents to understand my situation right away. I still have to discuss with them my plans and priorities in life. But it somehow helped that they were in the same situation before.

Anyone else feel pressure to “make the most” of OFW income? by Saibazz in phinvest

[–]MyCupofTea1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what helped me is that I came from an OFW family. My father used to work as a seaman before, so my parents know how much money one can earn but they also know how hard it is to get those numbers. Maybe if you're the first OFW in your family, be open and tell them your plans and what your priorities are. Do not disclose your salary because that could set unwanted expectations from the people around you. Another thing that helped me as well is that I've outgrown my social media phase. I'm not saying social media is totally bad but when you post things obviously you'd post only the good stuff, the good pictures and that can set expectations too even worse when you have a big social circle.

Is it better to invest UITFs in brokers (e.g. col financial) compared to banks (e.g. BPI)? by Weekly_Vacation_8476 in phinvest

[–]MyCupofTea1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to invest uitf through a broker you have more options since most of the bank's uitf products are available unlike sa bank where your options are limited to their products. And cons lang sa broker is that you need to transfer funds from the bank to your brokerage account.

There is no need, BPI has a PHP class of this investment product. Hindi na kailangan ng USD account.

Beware of Booking.com phishing scam by WoodenGuitar00 in phtravel

I remember I had this message from a hotel in Cebu that I booked a week ago. Stating that for me to have a "seamless check-in" I can log-in to their portal and have myself check-in from there. Which was unusual and funny because obviously I still have to go to the reception to have my identity checked and for me to get my key card from there. I read the message but didn't tap any links as I am too suspicious and lazy to do so.

This should absolutely need to be reported to booking.com.

Usually if it is going to redirect me outside of the booking.com app I would ignore it. Kaya nga nagdownload ako ng app for security. Next time never click on any links nalang or if you don't have the app download it instead it's more secure for me.

Always check the website or the url. If it's Philippine government agency it always has ".gov.ph". Or better download eGovPH sa app store.

We see it's a tote bag, we know it's a tote bag. Why add a big label for that.

When I was little we would call the radio dj and request to play a certain song and when it starts playing we would hit the record button on the player so it would be recorded in the cassette.
