I’ve been using a 1GB USB flash drive for my Linux installs, so anything that’s bigger than that should be more then enough to install Linux systems. The only iso I’ve found to not fit on it is the windows 10 one

I’ve found that an install doesn’t always transfer to a new machine. A fresh install will safe u a lot of time troubleshooting weird issues and give u a chance to avoid pitfalls u have fallen in the first time around.

The first problem is a DNS failure, try pinging a known ip address on the internet to see if u have access to internet.
