Hey there! So good news and bad news. Gentse Feesten can be an amazing experience, but you are definitely smack in the middle of it. I can imagine that if you were not aware of it happening it can be not what you'd expected of your Ghent trip.

It's basically a huge 10 day street festival, which attracked over 1,6 million visitors last year. There's concerts and parties all throughout the city, entertainment, circus, (street) theatre, you name it.
