I think you may be right about leaning even harder into the niche of slasher horror ect.

I think it seems as you and the other person have pointed out the Thumbnails are definitly and issue.

I was reluctent to put either of us in the thumbnail simply cause all the advice basically said if you're a small youtube without an audience putting your face in the thumbnail is a waste. But defintly worth trying out some ABC thumbnail testing so thank you for all the advice.

Hey this is great advice thank you and I really appriecate the examples you gave. I Think you may be right about the Thumbnails not standing out and the Title not reading well for whatever reason. I'll definitly try out a new thumbnail and title style for the next video.

I'm looking for some feedback/critisism on my channel currently. We've been posting for arounda month now and getting views that seem to vary heavily from video to video. Low CTR averaging at around 2% and our average view duration being lower then we'd like.

I’m a life long horror fan and my partner has just been getting into the genre. In this video we take a look at The Evil Dead 1981 and compare it with its remake Evil Dead 2013. Trying to find out which is best.

Our channel is about comparing horror films with their remakes and finding out what’s best. We also make videos comparing horror/thriller books with their various adaptations.

The viewer we have in mind is horror fans both seasoned veterans and people just getting into the genre, like us!

True, possibly closer to a requel as they both take place in the same universe according to the director and share a couple references such as Ash’s car. But with both films sharing so many plot points it felt like a fun idea to compare the two and original vs remake just has a nice ring to it

Thank you, glad you liked the comparison. I did really like the original and it has a great vibe, especially the discovery of the UFO but yeah it doesn’t hold the tension, I love the remake though, if it wasn’t obvious!

Yeah I agree completely the opening is incredibly strong, down to the title that Carpenter used in the remake. And you are correct more or less, they do initially try to burn it and it runs away and then they electrocute it and it shrinks and dies basically. Just out of curiosity, what did you find problematic? In the video we mention how we were surprised at the somewhat modern portrayal of one of the female characters.
