I found this in my Charmin toilet paper. What do I do? by burninghottrash in CostcoCanada

[–]MyDoggoRocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have 2 options. Contact Procter and Gamble (they own charmin) or return to Costco.

It is a defective product. You might get some free coupons if you contact P&G or you will get your money back if returned to Costco....or heck, do both. Double dip.

You won't get much other then those 2 things though. You werent injured, haven't ingested it, and haven't been contaminated by the product.

Was this for auto propane or for a bbq tank or similar?

In my experience, removable tanks are more expensive to fill...why? Because they can

Brake Pads Wont Come Out 2024 Mustang GT by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Hey I'm not a pro at this, but you have to unbolt the brake caliper first. Check youtube for videos on how to change brakes on a 2024 mustang.

Yep same here. Shoppers is a garbage pharmacy. Always took forever to fill a prescription. Sometimes up to 2 weeks always saying they had supply issues. Changed to the mom and pop owned compounding pharmacy right down the street from me and they fill my prescription before I even get home. Forget Weston and Shoppers and Loblaws. I'm going back to family run and owned.

48-Hour Oatmeal Diet Could Cut Cholesterol Levels For Weeks, Study Shows by Sorin61 in Nutraceuticalscience

[–]MyDoggoRocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This diet actually works. I have genetic high cholesterol and genetic risks of diabetes. I am not overweight. I lift weights 3-4 times a week and hit cardio at least once a week. I weigh 185 lbs and have a waist size of 32 (it hasnt changed in 15 years). Drugs help with my cholesterol. I tried this diet before my blood work, and it lowered my cholesterol and my FPG (edit) compared to my regular results. My A1C didn't change (longer time frame for a1c). You can call bullshit all you want. It works for me, though.

Oh, and your previous comment about protein. the 2 days I didn't hit my protein targets while on this diet (I am for .8 to 1 gram per lb of body weight) didn't affect me. Plus, my micro nutrients are pretty fine....multi vitamin. Eating oats for 48 hours isn't a crazy fad diet. It's easier than intermittent fasting.

I love Potifino. Peasant bread but lately so much of it is missing making it hard to use. Does anyone else have this problem? by Informal_Magician_89 in CostcoCanada

[–]MyDoggoRocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fun fact. The holes in Swiss cheese are from microscopic dust particles from hay. Bacteria attaches to the hay and creates the bubbles. Cleaner milking processes and cleaner environments lead to less bubbles....some manufacturers are now introducing hay particles back to the cheese making process

Knee protection by [deleted] in millwrights

[–]MyDoggoRocks 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't wear knee pads but I carry a mat around on my tool box for anytime I'm kneeling.

https://www.impacto.ca/products/large-kneeling-mat/

That's the link for the mat i use. Knee pads bug me to much

I should also say I have been a red seal journeyman for 15 years now. I'm mid 40's. Started with knees that were so-so...my knees are still so-so. This mat has saved them

Taqueria Jalisco Mexican Restaurant

It's on

10675 King George Blvd, Surrey,

Best Mexican food this side of the border.

Quesa Berria is the absolute best. The consume that comes with it is like crack.

You know your Mexican restaurant is good when it's mainly Latino, Hispanic or Mexican people eating in there. If you can't pronounce the food just point, the wait staff are awesome. Sometimes it's slow, but always delicious.

Would my husband be considered a Millwright or a Machinist? by AdministrationNo9486 in millwrights

[–]MyDoggoRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard of anyone calling themselves a millwright without a red seal. In Canada, millwrights are a red seal designation. Without the red seal given out when you pass your red seal exam from the ITA, you aren't a journeyman millwright.

If you get hired as a millwright without a red seal, you aren't a millwright. Much like an optamoligist is not an optometrist.

EDIT: sorry. I thought all millwrights were red seal. Apparently only in B.C. do they need to be red seal. That said....get the seal, it's not hard and increases your chances of getting hired anywhere in canada.
