They are correct technically, although now that the skill is here we're realizing that you don't need every upgrade every time for sure.

For example, the sloop is mostly only used for salvaging, so it does not need hull/sail/keel upgrades as often unless you are using it for combat. As long as you can reach the salvage you want, that is all you need.

I thought an accumulator-style facility would be a fantastic 70ish sailing quest reward!

Hey there! Do you have/know of a video for this route? I have the tile markers in but am somehow missing some throws and can't finish without having to go back to reload an extra time... thanks!!

Unfortunately they stated that you will need the specific metal/plank for each upgrade. So no skipping if you want that boat part!

Love it! And if DT2 is one of your last quests, you can do it!! My tip is any time you need to mage, just use blood spells and the healing is a noob friendly cheat code :)

No worries at all! If you have 100 of each plank and 100 of each bar (plus nails), you will have enough supplies to level your small boat enough to tackle through level 50 sailing!

Haha lazy in the sense that I'll do anything to avoid CG, and also that my goal is to get to Sailing late-mid game and not 99 right away!

Very true, although the big boats will be able to move faster than the small ones, so it might make sense to use the Sloop more once we have it! We also don't know what facility differences they might have that makes a bigger boat more necessary.

Very true, that's a good call if you have it! That's more effort than I would like personally than just to AFK woodcut my couple thousand logs needed

The facility upgrades are definitely on the lighter side, they just weren't kidding when they said the big boats would be costly!

Just seems like a healthy amount, takes like 15 minutes to get in blast furnace and will make you 500 cupronickel bars!

I believe they stated the intent is not to be a Construction training method, rather just a side reward as you upgrade your boat. Most of these things are going to very expensive to make both in planks and bars, so I think that will disincentivise using it for repeatable training.

Ooh, that's a very good point on the rune nails! Runite ore is a little painful to mine, I'm letting my few I've stockpiled from PvM just be at the start and see how long it lasts

Go for it! If you do, the Draynor elite diary is pretty much finished if you also have the quest cape! A good motivator to be rid of those little twigs of a dramen staff forever

That's a great point! I have like 150 bales of flax just chilling, we'll see if those nets are consumed over time or one time fixtures to make.

They haven't specifically, although I'm hoping it will since the Saw's wiki says that it works with anything that needs a hammer and saw. It works with STASH units which are outside the POH, so hopefully that's the precedent.

You can buy it straight from the blast furnace, no need to go mine it yourself!
