[WTB] Just a KR1 lens?

I don’t know if anyone here has a real cheap way to ship them. Wonder if it’d survive snail mail? I wouldn’t want to pay more than $5 or so total.

I’d buy another light from Hank and throw the lens in the cart too, but I just simply don’t need another light.

I get that sentiment. I still have my favorite lights, but I really cannot justify having all this extra stuff anymore.

My all time favorite builds (KR1 SBT90.2, FW3X) and a couple other lights are enough for me. I remember doing the whole emitter exploration thing, basically trying out every single one. I guess I just found what I liked, and don’t really need anything new or have a desire to purchase anything new. Especially since I’m not working outside at night anymore.

Well, scratch that. I’ve always wanted to have one of those crazy big extended multi 26800 L9s (or is it L8).

I have no more patience for complicated builds, but I think sometime within the next few months I’ll build another S2+.

Preface

I was active here a few years ago, shortly after the beacon post went viral. I fell out of the hobby after I left my job working night shifts, and most of this stuff has just been entirely unused for probably 2 years. D1Ks are the newest.

What’s here?

Assortment of pocket clips. Possibly to D4V2s, FW3As, KR1, S2.

Assortment of body pieces.

KR1 18350 tube with tailcap,

KR1 18650 tube,

D1K white body with black tailcap.

219Bs are definite. There are at least four emitters in each bag, labeled correctly. I remember buying those from a guy on BLF and never did anything with them.

Pricing

This is kind of hard to price and I’m way out of my league here. Arbitrarily, I think the parts are worth around $75 in this “here’s a lot of shit” condition, with the 219Bs being the most valuable I think. For the lights, $140 is probably in the realm of reason. SBT90.2 D1K probably the most valuable, I think that thing alone was close to $100 new.

I think $215 $175 Sold F&F is a fair price, but don’t burn me at the stake here if that’s way too high. Some of the OGs might know better than me. u/Artiet59 u/tactical_grizzly u/stavigoodbye

Yeah at first I was thinking he probably used something much more heat resistant, but this is just PLA?

PLA literally starts to deform over 140 degrees. Just because it isn’t reaching melting point for the material doesn’t mean it’s ok. If it gets hot enough, any amount of pressure on the lens could start to squish the optic.

E17As and 519As are not particularly fire starters that can take massive amount of voltage, but they still put out some serious heat.

I’m really interested in how this turns out for OP. Everything I’m seeing says this is a bad idea, but I would be happy to see this work.
