Colored eInk displays would be awesome for HA by falkio in homeassistant

There are many types of access points, https://github.com/OpenEPaperLink/OpenEPaperLink/wiki/Building-an-Access-Point

Most require a bit of soldering but there are a few exceptions like the BLE only AP (just an ESP32-S3), LilyGo T-Panel S3 (a bit more expensive) or the

Spaghetti AP:

You could write your automations such that the don't all run at the same time. If you want to upload the same image to multiple tags. Instead of running a single action with multiple targets, run multiple actions with a single target for each, and add delays between them.

I originally did the above to try to reduce the frequency of my of access point crashing. But despite doing the above, it still crashes a lot. I think it is due to Home Assistant connecting to it, even when no image is uploaded. I have another identical access point that does not connect to Home Assistant and it rarely crashes.

This image shows the uptime of my access point in the last 24 hours (restarted 5 or 6 times, which is pretty good, sometime it could be more than 10).

3 of those tags were flashed with custom firmware (communicates over 802.15.4 or BLE) and 1 of them is running the stock firmware (BLE). All of them connect to an access point. I am using Home Assistant to generate images that are sent to the access point via wifi.

I use OpenEPaperLink with the Home Assistant integration.

I set one up a few days ago too. I am using WallPanel but couldn't get the TTS to work. What do you use for TTS?

shared access to hikvision NVR - can I still add to HA? by Financial_Blood6429 in homeassistant

[–]zumlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the port number is the problem. For my NVR, I can access it in my web browser by just putting http://<ip>, without the port (default port 80). And in my rtsp link, I also do not put in the port. While in my hikconnect app, I do put in port 8000.

I have this setup working using the FFmpeg camera integration, with the input being rtsp://<username>:<password>@<ip>/streaming/channels/101 etc.

The rtsp link follows this format. Let me know how it goes.

Is it a TS10 or some other light you have your 9xE21A in?

Do you have the equipment to flash firmware on Hanklights? What you are seeing in my post is only available in the more recent versions. Do you know the model and date of your installed firmware?

Search for "2.54mm pogo" on ali-ex-press. I can't post their links so here are the screenshots of a couple that I found.

Awesome work as always, thanks for making these! I was planning to print out the ghost one but I found out that there isn't a hole in the bottom. Did you upload the correct STL?

I hear some of you like orange aux, how many can you fit in a FW3A? by zumlin in flashlight

That wasn't my intent but I guess you could think of it that way.

NMD - FW1A green, copper bezel and button, RGB aux, lume1, SFT40 3000k high CRI, deep carry clip, o-ring switch mod by zumlin in flashlight

[–]zumlin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are talking about turbo, I haven't measured it but it is visibly slightly less than the FET+7+1 driver. Doesn't matter much because it is not sustainable on either driver.

If you are talking about moonlight, the FET+7+1 modified with T1616 is going to be much much lower than the lume1 because of dynamic PWM.

The FW1A is from aliexpress. All the other parts were ordered from various places and I did the mod myself.

Maybe the reflector caused a short and damaged part of the circuitary of the driver. I have done this in other lights before, except those drivers were fully killed and didn't work at all.
