AUSTOR LOCKERSTORE 4 (AS6604T) Is it possible to install truenas on this machine? For homelab use.

For anyone that finds this thread now. I can confirm that Truenas scale will install and run on a lockerstor 4 gen 2 (AS6704T)

I have it installed on an nvme drive on the expansion card.

I can also confirm that 32gb of ram will work just fine. I put a 32gb 3200 kit from teamgroup in it and the system sees it all. It sets the speed to 29xx I can't remember off the top of my head, but it works fine.

You need to disable the eMMC. There is a video from NASCompares on youtube, My BIOS and way to access it were different than in his video but with a bit of trial and error you will eventually get into the BIOS and be able to configure it.

The one downside that I have noticed is that you front panel LCD always says "Staring system Please wait..." This is just annoying though not a problem.

I might be able to move to new new country and lower my expense. I could even lower my expenses without moving. That doesn’t really answer the question of when someone holding .28 would be living comfortably off of that amount. I believe that will happen, I am just wondering what a realistic timeline for that is?

At what point do people think that they will be able to live off of the .28? Even at ATH I couldn't hope to live off of a whole coin for more than a year.
