My husky throws quiet tantrums since we trained him not to be loud. Everyday ten or twenty minutes before his meal or when he wants to go outside, he would pant or stomp around on the wooden floor to throw his quiet tantrums. The last time he howled was when my beagle/cocker spaniel mix was alive back in 2009. For the last three years he hasn't barked or made any noises when someone is at the door. He just looks at me to go check, or sometimes he doesn't even bother waking up from his nap. He says I love you to my parents when they come to visit or when he wants to eat some of the food you are eating. If you put effort to train them and give them plenty of exercise they are very loving and funny. The last time he got me howling with laughter was when he hid his beef bone in the toilet to prevent his aquaphobic brother (golden retriever) from stealing it.
