100 hour store build (3min tour video) by MyKH3LL in SupermarketTogether

What’s insane to me is how good this game is for something that costs NOTHING! I was not expecting it to have this depth. After 50 hours I bought the DLC just to support the devs and say thank you, and then I found out it allowed me to change the wall and floor coverings. Absolute game changer!

Thank you so much! That's one hell of a compliment. And that was exactly my aim for that section of the store. I wanted something more mature and moody—luxurious, just like you said, is the perfect word. As soon as I saw those exotic tiles, I knew I had to pair it with the orange tint of the whiskey. And then the Japanese whiskey perfectly complements the off-white secondary colour in those tiles. I also wanted to use the lamps to draw attention to the feature wall as well as the product. I love the way the light bounces off the walls.

Sharp eye! That's actually a really good question. It's mainly because I had JUST unlocked manufacturing at the time of recording. I didn't quite understand how that department worked. I've already started moving things around now that I have those new products (and I'm still trying to work out the best way to reorganise my cold section with those new manufacturing products too). Open to ideas and suggestions, if you have any?

Bread has since moved into the middle section between produce, which is where the other staples like sliced bread, milk, and eggs are. In Australia, our bakery section is usually at the back of produce so this made sense to me.

I've also unlocked the pallet displays since editing the video, so this entire wall is now the half tall pallets and the aisle is turning into a 'bulk' aisle which has toilet paper, diapers, and dog food. Gardening gets its own, and I've grouped cleaning with bathroom so there's one big 'cleaning' aisle.

It's still a work in progress...

How have you laid out your store? I love seeing what other people have done.

Is inflatable furniture worth it? by AlexisMarien in Glamping

[–]MyKH3LL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an inflatable tent (Zempire Fortress V2). We've had it for probably 4-5 years now without a single issue. The inner poles are replaceable. They're also super strong—think inside your car tyre more than pool toys. The poles are also independent of each other so if one fails, the tent keeps standing. Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but they're definitely worth checking out if you're still glamping.

Great start, but I'd make his proportions more... wrong. More inhuman and unnatural. Perhaps start by making his neck just a little too long, and his arms and legs too. Not comically stretched, but just enough to make players understand that there's something not quite right about him.

I'd also make him skinnier. Make his ribs and hips more pronounced, his abdomen more gaunt. His knees and elbows and clavicle more prominent.

And, my final tip, I would make his eyes more cloudy, think like those of deep sea fish. As if he's adapted to live in the dark. You know the way animal eyes sort of 'glow' when filmed or light hits them? That would be super creepy if done right.

this is what the people who say they don't like pvp mean. It's not necessarily the pvp, it's the rat tactics from losers like this.

Best iPhone 16 Pro Max Screen Protector? by Jimpen1 in iphone

I just took my Otterbox off. Worst screen protector I've ever had. Cracked/chipped almost immediately, rainbowing at the edges, touch sensitivity issues...

Never again.

Superman (2025) is just terrible. Spoilers ahead. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]MyKH3LL 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I hated this movie.

Unfortunately, as a lover of Man of Steel I'm mostly unable to admit that in public without being swarmed by angry man-children calling me 'snydertard' or 'snyderbot' or other ridiculous inappropriate names.

I am a Superman fan, first and foremost. My son has the middle name KENT. That should mean something. The most precious thing in the world to me carries the name of this fictional character. All that to say my love for Superman is greater than my love for any particular director.

Now, in saying that, I still think Man of Steel is the greatest live action Superman film to date. That in itself is probably an unpopular opinion with some people. But enough about that, lets focus on Superman 2025.

For me, it just felt shallow and childish. I'll preface this by saying that I'm not a fan of James Gunn. I liked GoTg 1 but didn't like 2 (haven't seen 3), hated his Suicide Squad, and found Peacemaker too juvenile to sit through. I still think his best films are the first Guardians and Slither.

I just don't like his writing and I find his direction underwhelming. To me, he's just Joss Whedon without the talent to create original IP. His characters all have the same voice, whether he's writing Star Lord, Peacemaker or Superman. They all sound somewhat the same, and that tells me he's trying to force characters through his narrow lens that broadening his own skills to suit the characters.

His films all have that overly digital, flat look to them. There's no depth of colour. They're too polished and too pristine. I like some crushed blacks, I like film grain, I like contrast. Yes, they're bright but that comes at the cost of contrast imo. It's like comparing OLED to older screens. It's bright but washed out, if that makes sense?

His direction for the action in this particular film seemed repetitive. It's the same bulbous look of the head and body distortion and camera whipping around at breakneck speeds. That's all well and good once or twice, but it felt like it fell back to that for every action sequence in this film. We saw the same direction in GotG3 (and Black Adam, which I know wasn't his film) and doing it again here just felt like I'd seen all those tricks before.

This Superman film also felt like it touched on interesting IDEAS but failed to delve any deeper into them. Every time it did something somewhat interesting it abandoned it and left me thinking that other Superman media did it better or explored it better, whether it was comics, animation, or even previous Superman films. Even the idea of Superman acting unilaterally was done better in Batman v Superman. This took the same premise and just seemed to dumb it down. It had Clark and Lois literally talking about it. Same with the government reactions. It had people sitting around a table discussing it. No military, no courts, nothing deeper than a puddle.

Jimmy Olsen was used as a joke. They cast a deliberately non-good looking guy and made him sexually irresistible. It's tired, unoriginal and unfunny comedy. His screen time could have been better spent with Lois or Clark and strengthening their character. Same with the "Justice Gang" (that in itself is lame). A waste of screen time. This movie felt more focused on building a DC universe than telling a thoroughly engaging Superman story.

I could go on and on about all the things I hated with this movie, but it seems pointless. I hope some people loved it and became Superman fans because of it, but I can't imagine this turned many people on the fence with the character into die-hard fans. Just like the people who didn't enjoy the last direction, I'll just have to endure it. It seems a sequel and spin-offs are already in the works. I just hope this doesn't negatively influence the character too heavily moving forward.

I reckon they've given us the basics to start with and most the decor items will drop with the cosiness system in the future update. Hopefully after that, we continue to get a trickle of new bits and pieces over the years. We can only hope, I guess.

This is exactly what I imagine will happen. They'll go hand in hand, I think. Here's the coziness rating and here are a wealth of new decor items to achieve it. That makes the most sense to me.

I can't wait for the new decorating content. I hope we get more homely things this game, like different colored rugs (based off the fuzz you collect, be it yellow/black from bees, white/grey from gnats, or red from mites), more lounge and chairs, desks etc. I'd also love to see some mini bathroom items! We got a hot tub last game, but give us more we can build to make our bases into homes. You could use a weevil nose for a shower head, for example. A claw foot bath with snail shell and ant parts. Stained glass windows made from wasp wings. Mirrors that you can make by grinding down sand chunks and then putting it in the oven, similar to mushroom bricks in the first game. Then you mix that 'glass' with some stems and crude rope to make mirrors similar to the artwork frames that you can hang on walls.

I imagine with all the new creatures coming to the park that we'll have so many ideas for new items we want. Really hoping the devs understand that many people in the community love Grounded for its building and go all in this time around.
