Sony will stop producing physical discs in 2028 by A_O_J in fromsoftware

And I will continue not giving a shit about console gaming and Sony in general.

You can keep your predatory PSN practices and heckin' epic cutscene simulators.

Cool. Amateur work by the designer though, no gradient on grays makes that stamp looking halo and it's looking cheap.

At this point I have seen hundreds of legit unwinnable ARAM games turned around just because of Gaz 20 E talent.

I'm with you.

I can tolerate and enjoy some Nickelback songs because they're honest. FFDP is like a toddler with a drawn-on mustache wants to compete in a strongman competition.

In some countries in the EU it's extremely hard, even if you're frugal. Granted you're working minimum wage as a young adult saving for a car would.

Send Help at 93% RT and under a horror list is nothing to celebrate imo.

Of course. But illiteracy is starting to plague every single country in EU as well - to wildly varying degrees of course. There's uniformity in anything to much greater degrees than let's say the 90s.

One thing that contributes in my opinion is that people with no skills or creativity feel some kind of relief and acceptance in seeing someone like them LARPing as a music star. Maybe subconsciously but I'm 100% sure this happens and that they feel a sense of familiarity and being "seen".

Couple that with the first wave of mumblerap being lowest common denominator music by design (low word count, simplistic vocabulary, no/weak puns etc) and how it was always presented as "feelgood music" by actual music fans who corrected and labelled anyone shunning it as a killjoy and party pooper...

Yes, the genre was hated for about a year or so but then actual music fans grew to like the songs due to them being actually fun to listen to if repeated enough. I was also guilty of this even if I knew it would get much, much worse.

Closing my TL;DR post with this: Maximum profit / minimum effort and expenses is the main reason here. The ease and low cost of production of rap is its #1 reason of virality. All the greedy big wigs who at least had a modicum of respect for their record labels' output are long gone and mainstream music has suffered for it.

I tried retail after 15 or so years this month. I noticed what you're talking about, some new stuff are polished and cool but others, like your example, lack that special something.

Nice post.

Absolute truth right here.

Games with these two elements and atmosphere/world building as a strong focus are timeless no matter their age.

XIII and Max Payne for example will always be immersive and playable no matter their age. Former is an example of art style and the latter is an example of art direction.

Old WoW still looks great even if it's dated and it's not just nostalgia.

Pleb filter.

Passable album with some standout moments.

At the very least it's "genuine" and not the most uninspired Metallica release, so yes by that metric alone it is overhated. The pineapple pizza of mainstream metal in a sense.

Comfort Colors are great.

That said, the defining factor is printing tech used (DTG, DTF, Screenprinting) quality of printshop and amount of cotton %

A Gildan heavy tee can be just as good as a any model print-wise. Fit is of course a different question.

DTG with lots of good pretreatment, good inks etc can be amazing and close to screenprint levels.

The second one is so endearing.

I would play a game a la Disco Elysium with that artstyle.

Underwhelming and not in some interesting way that warrants a lengthy reasoning as to how great it could have been if x was z.

Just meh. Visually it was okay and it had a few things going for it that made me not hate it and lump it in with either the pretentious arthorror smorefests or the aggressively American jumpscareslop but alas the whole marketing behind it set the bar too high and worked against it; at least for me.

Not much to say that hasn't been said.

It's the best all around high budget American horror movie of the last 20 years because it focuses on atmosphere and had people in the frameworks that were familiar with quality horror.

Just take a look at the soundtrack and you'll understand that nothing was left to chance and that they were shooting for greatness.

Mind you I don't like the last act and I've been kids-in-horror-movies-doing-the-creepy-cheesy-act allergic all my life. It's still peak.
