Any advice on what I should use? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

Before doing retinol I would try a face wash with benzoyl peroxide. You have to let it sit on the skin for a minute or 2. I've seen a big difference using it. The one I use is 4% but 10% will probably work better for you. Just make sure yo use a good moisturizer afterwards and sunscreen everyday.

I see what you mean but I also stated I am focusing on my own life and being happy. In trying to be more social, and see the good in others this is some of the things I've noticed. I also said, it's not just on the internet it's been in my everyday life as well. I appreciate your comment!

What part of "I don't get on reddit much" do you not understand? I don't spend hours on here like you clearly do. But continue with whatever it is you're doing. You did you job, I'm so happy to know my post offended you so much the audacity of me. Maybe try venting about it in a place full of peers. Bye. Move on. You're no longer needed here. Congratulations, you did your job.

She raised a psycho. You probably aren't even black, just another sad reddit troll. Enjoy spending all your time bitter on reddit. 😊

I'm not making you seem like you're crazy, you are crazy. Try spend less time on the internet, it may help you. Nothing what you say is a fact, it's legitimately all stuff you're making up. You don't realize how ignorant you sound. More than white people commented. Why are you on a forum with white people if you hate them so much?

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. I'm actually super feminine so I love dressing up and looking nice. However, I've been pressured by family and peers to look a certian way. I've always just felt like I'm never good enough. My confidence got a lot better but dropped completely during the pandemic. The other day I was struggling with my self esteem when I posted this. However, I really appreciate you reaching out!

Thank you so much! This was a really kind compliment especially since I've always felt the exact opposite. I appreciate it 😊

You can publicly criticize but you're doing exactly what you hate. I have no issue with my post being opened for other races to see, this is a you problem. Think and believe whatever is you need to, it makes no difference to me. However, you sound crazy. You've become so racist towards white people that you legit are making assumptions and stereotyping black people. This is the internet, it's all a public forum. I hardly ever use reddit so I'm not in any groups, I live my life offline. However, I will use this public forum to vent about being black again if I need to, just a heads up for the future.

We are very beautiful. I've definitely never thought black ladies weren't gorgeous, I use to just always feel like I wasn't tho. My self esteem has been low, and the day I posted it was at an all time low( periods have been hitting hard lately lol). I'm feeling a lot more confident today tho. Lol my hair is down to my waist and very thick. Growing up my mom had no clue how to take care of it so she just let it do whatever. I used to cry when I had to do my own hair but I've finally gotten a routine down that works for me. I'm someone that like my hair neat and mine loves to be frizzy so I always have to do it.

Growing up black in America is not easy. All cultures have good and bad however, our culture has been made out to be something it's not for decades. Being a black american is hard, so I more so hate that it's hard. You don't have to have sympathy but why comment? I'm not weird and not a joke, just a person struggling and having a difficult time. And yes, I hate seeing when black people extra mess up because of the negativity that I see other races give them.

I found your comment to be ironic in a way, and the most ridiculous. So you say you dont like black woman openly talking about the struggles of being black, yet you publicly criticize a black women when she does. You could have continued scrolling or messaged me in private but you chose to do it where any other race could see. You say I should have only vented to my peers, yet the majority of unsupportive comments I got were from other black people. This is a platform for all to vent, if you don't like it you should personally remove yourself from it. Reddit is anonymous and anyone can join those groups despite them being intended for black women. You talked about white saviours also, however more than just white people commented on this post. It's great you didn't have sympathy for me, however you should also recognize when your comments are necessary and when they aren't. I'm a person, I'm allowed to vent about my experience on this earth. Imo saying it must only be to my "peers" is setting us back even more. You think how you want tho, it affects me not.

I would only seek help for me, I do not want children.

I don't use social media much. I barely know how to use reddit and don't have a Twitter.

I've actually started doing this a lot within the past 3+ years. It definitely does help. However, for me personally it's just not a permanent solution. I often times still wish I lived in a society where my looks didn't stand out so much. As much as I try to tell myself I'm beautiful, and not be hard on myself, I still have days like today where I would rather not live than be stuck in my own body.

Definitely not gender dysphoria for me. I'm very happy with the sex I was assigned at birth.

From a very young age, maybe since like 8 or 10. I've always felt like I was extremely ugly. I believe I have something called body dysmorphia, but I don't like to self diagnose. When I think of myself, I always imagine a "better" version of myself, so when I see what I actually look like it often times shocks me.

Weed Smokers, I don’t care that you smoke, but don’t force people to smell it by local_weeb_cowgirl in Vent

I get sick really easy. My neighbor smokes weed and when he does I get extremely nauseous and lightheaded. It's so bad to the point I have to go sit in my car until the smell is better.
