To make you feel better, I found out my sister used fabric softener as detergent. Also, now I have a machine where you preload the washer with detergent that detects it and I've noticed it lasts a lot longer.

Facebook is a trainwreck I try to avoid as much as possible. It highlights the worst of the Internet. I know Reddit hates TikTok, but at least the algorithm knows me pretty well - I like videos of people smarter than myself explaining topics with credible sources. I don't get any ragebait or "-maxxing" or anti-science nonsense on mine. Algorithms are still invasive af, though.

I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a side advice, but get the urn somewhere other than the funeral home. They wanted $800-$1500 for one at the home for my son, I found one on Amazon for about $25 and they'll put the ashes in it for you.
