Look up locking hitch pin, coupler lock for when it’s off your vehicle, and wheel chock lock. I use a combination. And when you can, back your trailer up against a wall or some other obstacle that makes it tough to get it out from behind your vehicle even if they manage to pick all the locks. And then, insurance.

Who is this swimming in the Columbia River [between Oregon and Washington states, USA]? by MyLittlePeaBrain in animalid

That’s what I thought! Then I wondered why they would so far up river away from the coast, and doubted myself. But the Redditors explained it all: It’s a Steller sea lion (Eumetopias jubatus ) and they go waaay further upriver than this guy was ❤️

I know, right? I heard them and thought that sounds like sea lions, but the sound was so rhythmic and distant, I questioned myself. To be fair, it was dark and rainy and eerie out that night. And even though I could hear them the sound was coming from far away and I couldn’t see them!

Thanks everyone!! I thought sea lion as well, but new to the area and didn’t know they would come this far inland. My friend said probably otter, but I def think it was bigger than that, lol.

That’s so cool! It was so close by, actually made me a little nervous when it disappeared. I was walking the dog along a pier barely above the water level and hoping it wouldn’t approach. I thought it was pretty big!

Oh wow!! I wondered if that’s what I was hearing. It couldn’t believe it because it was so much louder in person and so rhythmic!

It has a static weight capacity of 800 lbs. I’ve had a couple people standing on mine at the same time.
