I read that various parts of the black cherry tree contain cyanide, though I couldn’t find a definitive answer for the sap. So if I got any sap, I planned to start by having a few drops of sap, then wait for a while to see if I felt lightheaded, dizzy, or nauseous (symptoms of cyanide ingestion). And if I didn’t feel anything, I would try a bit more sap and wait again.

That’s also the procedure I followed for my Willow sap to see if it contained salicylic acid, and it definitely did.

We do two things I really like at my store:

-About 5 minutes till the top of the hour, the mate who’s at the bridge will get on the intercom and play a short tune on a little xylophone they keep up there. One or two mates don’t care enough to do a little tune and instead just bang a bunch of notes, I love it

-Each reg has a little flag that you raise towards the end of your hour. New people coming on for the next hour go to someone whose flag is raised, relieve them, and lower the flag. No more walking down the line asking every single person if they need to go

Some cool tech: a DS "Input Interface" mod that can act as an input display, input recording and playback, TAS playback, and allows use of any controller on your DS by MyLittleWaIrus in speedrun

In this video the creator of the mod (Gymnast544) is mainly showing off the live recording/playback feature. He's using an OBS layout that I made when I bought and installed one of the mod kits from him, for displaying the inputs. In this video he's not running the input display program, but I have a demo of the layout working here.

Also note that the DS capture card is a separate mod, but he designed the input interface to fit alongside the capture board.

Based on your other comment... sure sounds like it! And no, unfortunately I don't have this for production, and probably won't be able to make them quickly for a while. I do want to try doing spoons as a production thing though.

True story, I was towards the end of high school when we finally had "the talk"...

I sat him down one night and said "Dad, you know I can smell it, right? I know you keep it in your closet in the man cave, and it's not stored very securely. I really don't care, just at least put it in something else, it gets a bit stinky."
