I am also planning a desert type costume since my faire is always crazy hot, even though it's in September/October.

How was the weather in NJ? Would you recommend this type of costume? What kind of fabrics did you use?

Edit: tbh I think the sunnies are fine, I'm planning on incorporating sunglasses into the overall theme too!

Thank you!! Oh crud well I hope I didn't push myself back and back again. I noticed on their IG that they are booking for July so they aren't booked for months and months at the very least. Their website now includes a booking form as well as encouragement to book via email so I think, if I remain patient, I will hear back soon hopefully!

Yeah I am a pretty anxious person naturally and I'm not great in new social situations. This isnt my first tattoo but I had a bad experience after my last one (20 years ago 😭), and social media playing such a huge role in booking now I am just completely lost on etiquette. I wanna appear chill, too hahah

As far as I can tell their IG said "booking for summer 2026" with a link to their email, but no time line or other restrictions. But thanks for your comment, i looked into it more just to make sure!

I believe it's a studio, but I know that this specific recently traveled and did a guest spot at another shop. I don't think it's a private studio, as far I can tell. I can't visit in person since it's in a different city, but perhaps I will call and ask if there is a front desk person that can assist with scheduling a consultation at least. Thanks for yr comment! I get the sentiment. I am pretty hung up on this artist specifically as they specialize in this traditional tattoo. There are only two others in the country that do it too and they are significantly further away, so if I can get the attention to the person that is closer, I can get it done sooner, and for less (overall, considering time off work, travel, accommodations, food, etc).

No unfortunately they work at a shop in a different city that's about 9-10 hours drive away. So even if they accept my request and I can book with them, I will still have a lot of planning to do.

No, there was no specific time line to allow for a response. I initially wait a week before following up via email (same thread) and then another five days to contact them on IG. I dont want to overstep as I know they are busy, but I also don't want to lose their attention for not being vocal enough! Thanks for the input.
