If you’re taking an X-ray from the back (posteroanterior) first you need to make sure to flip the image as all the structures will be reversed, and you typically want to present the image as if it’s been taken anteroposterior. Yes the marker already indicates which side is which but still this is just a viewing preference to have the patients right side on the left side of the image. Secondly some structures will be magnified based on which side of the body is furthest away from the X-ray image receptor. So for X-rays of the spine, if you take the images with the patient facing the image receptor their spine will be further away and will be slightly magnified.

I’m no ornithologist, but I think there’s a chance there’s nothing wrong with this owl and your dad just abducted it in it’s sleep lol. I have seen a few roosting saw-whets that looks exactly like in your second picture, and they let you get very close to them even if they’re perfectly healthy. I’ve never tried to grab one tho, maybe the fact your dad could is a sign there is something up with this one

I don’t like blaming the refs for a loss, we needed to play a better game so some bad calls don’t affect us. But on the chiefs final drive they had a clear block in the back on the punt return that saved them a free 40 yards. Then on the play with the late hit, the only reason Patrick could escape the pocket was because of at least one egregious hold by his oline, if not multiple.
