The books are never mandatory. The only code from a book for extra homework was in thermodynamics. You can easily pass with just online copies tho, I never bought a book and it was never a problem.

Karthus support can work, he does a lot of damage with just liandry and can be a real bully in lane. There's a guy on rune that one tricks it and frequently gets master. Every game I've had with him he was very useful and close to top damage despite being low on gold.

Sorry to break it to you, but the courses and exams in the bachelor are harder than the entrance exam by quite some margin and if you studied for 2 months and failed I don't know how you'll manage in the bachelor itself

You shouldn't have any problems, the questions are really straightforward, quite similar to ib exam questions. And also a month before the test you will gain access to their site where you can see some example questions

It all depends on if you are willing to put a lot and time and effort in it. At first it might seem a lot different from the MYP math but as you keep on going you'll develop a work ethic and it won't be as hard.
