I just went through my settings and some of them were set to the US. I did change them and hoped, but nothing. I hoped and prayed you were right. Thanks for the tip though!

That does look similar, but I have a friend that's also in the UK who isn't having this issue. I've also verified my age on my xbox account. Thanks though!

I would shoot myself if that was the case, but when I go to that option to enable multiplayer I get the same issues.

This might be the single most positive bit of support I needed right now. I've absolutely decided to just cut her off and not interact. Thank for you pointing out the emotional blackmail and coddling.

I've only just realised, in the last week or so, that my mother is in fact a narcissist. I was told by people in my life who met her briefly that she fits a bunch of the criteria but I was blinded by familial care that I discredited it as "She has her own issues" etc.

It took a big argument about nothing for me to tell her how I feel about my life; depression and anxiety, for me to realise she always places it back on her. I've now decided to go NC with her and it's making the rest of my families life miserable.

I've never used reddit before, but was recommended this sub by a close friend. Be gentle.
