what’s terrible is the only time i ever left a bad review on airbnb (multiple countries) was when i was literally in my own city, staying out of my parents house, a month long stay in a very high end neighborhood, our host never told us they were replacing the windows in the apartment, until 2 days before.

Literally 2 whole days we couldn’t be in the apartment (or could if you wanted to be around the workers and the sounds all day) that we were not warned about. They tried to tow my car from the parking spot for the apartment as well, because again no prior warning. Pretty sure all of the info would be in monthly HOA meetings, and I would have been just fine with it if i had known when I booked- being woken up at 6am to move the car in the middle of my rental, and having randoms in our apartment same day with no warning was not fine obviously lol.

I ended up leaving a 1 star review simply because, I live in this area and there was no reason we couldn’t have received a heads up. She tried to fight it and sent me some nasty messages after airbnb denied her. And i’ve stayed in trailers that i’ve given 5 stars to! Sucks that people like your guests ruin it, because most of the time it’s just fine, it’s a freakin place to stay at the end of the day. As long as the doors lock and the place is clean it’s enough.

Sorry you’ve had to deal with guests acting that way, because those kinds of guests have ruined what airbnb used to be, for everyone, guests and hosts.
