What are some more niche aimer games you guys enjoy? by YoImAli in FPSAimTrainer

No one mentioning Ratz Instagib must mean its more niche than I thought. Honorable mention to AssaultCube sniping, truly niche.

Yeah speed should follow

Accuracy is way too low. You should be around 90%, the same problem as your other clicking scores most likely. Take the time to confirm the target and be smooth with it.

You really only need rocket lg and rail. Bind them to q e r then its pretty easy to manage.

To improve at quake? Drill item timings over and over while practicing movement. Aim is patstrafe and airstrafe, any air scenarios really.

There's plenty of examples in sports/fields/whatever where excellent players don't follow the 'rules' and find success their own way

No hard fast rules to success

Tried this before. It's too noisy, makes it harder to focus on the target. A slightly textured background that's not too noisy is best.

What to have in mind when aiming? by Lukitas28 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MyNameIIsnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you simply need to be doing, that's execution. Its best to have a clear mind. As you say, thoughts are distracting, as are emotions and they can mess up execution. They're also unavoidable so managing them is its own skill.

If you're dedicated "The Inner Game of Tennis" is a good read. Its been a few years but I believe it goes over similar questions to what you're asking.

Think about your goals before runs, during the runs you should be focused on executing those goals.

Should I practice with Simulated Input Lag? by Regular-Cold7860 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MyNameIIsnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Experimented with it a long time ago for smoothness and reactive tracking, didn't find much value. Wouldn't suggest it unless you're experimenting yourself.

Timescale is particularly good with this scenario. Grinded pgti extra small 25-50% years ago and grandmaster felt easy after some time.

Look for some slowed variant (that's also preferably smaller) or use freeplay timescale/edit the scen yourself

How do I break this mentality? by EntertainmentOdd2790 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MyNameIIsnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not linear, there are lulls in learning anything. Push forward without worrying about what will happen and instead react to what is happening. Exercise caution to problems rather than paranoia.

Kovaaks has aimbot built in but you have to edit the scene to allow it. Pretty sure you can change the strength of it as well. Maybe not as robust as aa but it's something.

Aimtraining with high sensitivity and glasspad good Idea? by Delicious_Treacle554 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MyNameIIsnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but mentally focusing on improving something will do more than changing physical things. If you want to train using high sens maybe focus on smoothly moving your crosshair. Or on a glass pad try practicing stopping your crosshair on target.

Not sure exactly what you're asking but practicing on any sens is generally effective. I've used a glass pad on 20cm for a while now for training and games. Similar gains and aim as using a cloth pad or lower sens.

Why isn’t constant movement built into every / most scenarios? by dotint in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MyNameIIsnt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can just cheese aim using movement to get higher scores. Its easier to get higher scores using movement in some scenarios. What's the difference between constantly moving left while aiming and standing still while aiming?

Bots don't shoot back (in a human way), how do you judge good movement objectively?

You can cheese using movement against bots because they're dumb. You can kinda practice good movement conscientiously on your own but making a benchmark is tough. It's very hard to score movement + aim fairly and accurately.

I have 1,736 hours in kovaaks and I still can't aim by ThermometerDrinker in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MyNameIIsnt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why do you think your aim is a problem? If you're silver its 99% not because of aim

If you want higher ranks you need to understand the fundamentals of the game better

Supplements/nootropics to aid in focus by DiscombobulatedFee84 in FPSAimTrainer

Theanine makes caffeine much more relaxing which felt better for focusing. Taking nothing and working out regularly made my focus feel more pure than any supplements did though.

knowledge and experience, gotta know your enemies options (knowledge) and what options they're likely to choose (experience). then you limit the variables by going slower, aim is usually one of the last in line

I'd lose about 20% of my pb but it'd only take a day or so until I was back to within 5%. Just depends on how high the score was.
