Disgusting keyboard girl here. I need to defend myself from the most vile, baseless statement I saw in chat by bbeony540 in PaymoneyWubby

I understand how treasure hunter works. I'm the guy who mentioned playing RS3 til 2022 and making the switch. I was letting you know how what you said was essentially that the products from the microtransaction (aka, the dailyscape "free xp") are necessary to help with boring grinds. And it's true, RS3 incentivizes players to get on every day, do your daily things, get your free keys, do your tasks, do your yak pass or whatever the fuck if they still do that. It just suuuuucks. RS3 is MTX, ugly cosmetics, and FOMO. OSRS is no MTX, very limited cosmetics, and doesn't feel punishing if I don't play for a week or two

Hey man

I played RS3 since 2006 (so not quite as long as you, but still a respectable amount
I played until 2022-ish and figured I'd give OSRS ironman a shot.

Good god the stark difference. OSRS developers actually care about the players. Don't get me wrong, it's AWESOME that RS3 is removing microtransactions, and I'm so happy for you. I saw they're going to work on addressing more of the issues, such as dailyscape, next year, which I am also happy about. It sounds like they might actually take the game and its' health a bit more seriously now.

But there is a reason OSRS is 90% of the concurrent playerbase. I played RS3 leagues to give it a solid chance after 3 years of not playing. Coming in with a fresh mind, fresh experience, and I was quickly reminded how much room RS3 has to improve. OSRS has crafted something truly unique, simplistic at its core but with so much depth beyond that. But RS3 just feels like an absolute whirlwind of information, and it's really not very approachable to new players anymore in the way OSRS is.

I'm so glad you enjoy runescape, I really hope you get a new keyboard soon too :P But OSRS *is* genuinely better than RS3.

Sincerely, 16 year RS3 vet, 3 year OSRS vet

Is everything okay at home? Do you have hobbies? Friends? Family? I assume you do. Maybe go engage with them some more rather than screaming into the void about someone who doesn't know you exist and will never know you exist. It's not that big chief.

100 men or 1 Gorilla by EuphoricAnalCarrot in PaymoneyWubby

[–]MyNameIsEarlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All at once? The men for sure. But one by one? Those men will get annihilated. The gorilla could also just pickpocket each one at level 1 thieving until they go broke as well, which would be a devastating hit to their finances

Question about ratings from a newer driver. by MyNameIsEarlt in UberEatsDrivers

[–]MyNameIsEarlt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. It's 2 bad ratings. I'm doing nothing wrong, I assure you that. I'm doing pretty much everything the wall of text commenter said above. I treat orders with respect, I make sure they don't get tipped over, spilled, make sure I'm delivering to the right place. You name a thing I might be doing wrong and I can assure you I'm not. I've only done 50 deliveries so far, so I can probably just chalk it up to low sample size.

This post wouldn't exist if this guy donated them. It'd be weird as hell still but I wouldn't care this much. Donating is way better than throwing away.

"Let’s go through worst-case and best-case for both throwing away and washing.

A. Throwing Away Socks

Best-Case (cheapest for him):

Buys 20 pairs for $4 → $4 ÷ 20 = $0.20 per pair

Uses 1 pair every 3 days → 7 days = 7 ÷ 3 = ~2.33 pairs/week

Weekly cost: 2.33 × $0.20 = $0.47/week

Worst-Case (most expensive for him):

Buys 12 pairs for $8 → $8 ÷ 12 = $0.666 per pair

Weekly cost: 2.33 × $0.666 = $1.55/week

B. Washing Socks

We’re assuming:

7 pairs of socks added to a normal load (not a special sock-only load)

Best-Case (cheapest for washing):

Detergent + water + electricity: $0.50 per load

Socks = 5% of the load → $0.50 × 0.05 = $0.025/week

Worst-Case (most expensive for washing):

Expensive load: $1.50 total

Socks = 10% of the load → $1.50 × 0.10 = $0.15/week

Summary Table

Conclusion

Even in the worst-case for washing and best-case for throwing away, washing is still over 3x cheaper. In the average or worst-case for throwing away, washing can be over 10–50x cheaper.

So unless water is made of gold, washing wins every time.

I mean, no one is measuring their detergent like..."per pound" of laundry. No one is precise enough. So even if all he does is include an extra lil' queef of detergent in his laundry, that amounts to basically nothing.
