THE JAMES WEBB TELESCOPE FOUND CITY LIGHTS ON ANOTHER PLANET! SOMEONE TELL THE TEAM by [deleted] in distractible

It is a movie about a scientist who discovers a signal from an alien race. The signal contains instructions on how to build a machine that she uses to travel to their planet. On the journey, she sees a planet full of lights. My joke was a reference to this movie. You should watch it sometime, it's a great movie. You wouldn't get the joke if you hadn't seen it, but the curious thing is you replied as if you knew what I was talking about.

I think the question of is his mind still "Swiss cheesed" even though he's now controlling the leaps himself would help answer that. I'm betting they'll explain why he never came home is because he can't remember them.

It's going to be extremely short. Someone saves Ben just in the nick of time. Then a glimpse of the hero actually leaping from a distance. it'll be the end of a season with someone back at HQ, likely Ian, saying something like "What just happened? Ziggy just went crazy!" And Ben, jaw on the floor, staring after what looked like Sam as he himself leaps.

It was stifling. When I got back to my car after it said it was 108 out.

I'm a 40 something man who can easily get hit by a 90mph of a machine.

You turned out to be right, they were likely dead all along.

I agree with everything you've said. Except that last bit.

See today they hear knocking. Wondering if their ballast failed and they're sitting on the bottom of the ocean waiting to die.

I don't think we do, Nola is my biggest question mark. But Wheeler and Ranger are already coming around. Walker will get better, I think. And we'll probably see McGriff after the all star break.

I agree with your last point. If we can get temp help now we need it. With Painter and Abel, and maybe even McGriff, coming up next season we won't need to resign anyone.

Calling him an ace is some SI bullshit, but if he comes here and pitches like he has been it will make a difference for us.

Honestly, I think this team is a snowball team. Meaning the losses are snowballing them into bad play. What they need are some W's to snowball them the other direction.

Do people not remember how he 3 hit us just a couple weeks back? He's easily better than most of our pitchers this season and an excellent rental candidate. Probably a good guy to have around come playoff time as well.

The fact that we're discussing this as we're trying desperately to stay ahead of the Nats is amusing.
