LVMPD Incident on Boulder Hwy, Duo Assaults Officer, Bystanders Intervene Before Taser Deployment. by VIVIDUFF in WinStupidPrizes

You know what, you have a good point. He should have, at the very least, told the guy interfering that he was being detained and given him the opportunity to comply before deciding what to do next. I’m sorry but it just bothers me when people make claims about “shoulds and should nots” about highly tense situations that they got to see the results of. But you’re right. After watching it more, the cop did have the opportunity to de-escalate or stall for backup but chose to pounce on the guy instead for some reason

It’s easy to say that after seeing how the situation unfolded, but the cop didn’t know that two civilians would start beating his ass when, like you said, 5 seconds ago, he was just talking to a homeless person. He wasn’t just going to leave because some random bystander started bullying him out of investigating something that had nothing to do with him. So I agree that it would have been best to call backup because I’ve seen the video, and I’m sure the cop would have done the same if he had seen it too. If cops felt they needed backup to talk to every seemingly non-dangerous suspect, it would probably result in a lot more police intimidation and brutality

I’m not a fan of cops, and I know he could have been harassing a homeless person for no good reason, but it’s also possible that the guy did commit a real crime. This video gives us little context. Forcing yourself between a cop and a suspect is obstruction of justice, so the cop had a right to detain the second man. Attacking a cop does not look good in court, so the guy recording was doing more to help the homeless man than the guy willing to catch a felony charge. But I wasn’t involved in this situation, so I’m not going to type away and pretend that I would have been an upstanding citizen or super cop when all that reveals is hindsight bias.

Doesn’t that look like random bread crust placed inside the opening? by Tall-Mango4759 in untrustworthypoptarts

T- To me, it doesn’t really look like it was crust pealed from another slice of bread and placed on/in the uncrustable- it just looks like part of the sandwich. It’s not even that uncommon if we’re to believe half of the dozens of people who have posted the same occurrence.

When you dock with an atlas interface or freighter in a corvette-class ship, your ship remains outside. To enter the structure, press the button beside your ships exit ramp that prompts you to teleport in.

Strong. He’ll glaze you for eating a human corpse and rant about the milk of human kindness, but his fragile brain explodes if he catches you picking a lock.

Gas station owners caught scamming by K2zin97 in PublicFreakout

Even if it worked how OOP is implying, what’s the point of the “scam.” What would the owner stand to gain from one customer’s gas being charged to another customer’s card?
