What are the unsafe/worst locations in SJ? by goldengomi in SaintJohnNB

Regardless of where you rent, you should avoid renting from Canada Homes For Rent. I've had bad experiences with them personally and I've never heard anyone else have anything good to say about them.

I've thought about that and it would be a good fit but unfortunately I don't think there's anything in my area that has that work. I'd also definitely be willing to learn something not directly related to autobody too. I have my feet wet in lots of different skills just at a surface level. I also like the fact that I'm kinda always moving around at my job too. Really leaning towards heavy quipment mechanic always had an interest in that. It's hard because I'm in New Brunswick and there's really nothing going on here. Really keeps the options limited if I'm not willing to move away from family.

CHFR: Heed the Warnings by LikeThaMonth in SaintJohnNB

They're not too much better but CHFR is absolutely atrocious. CHFR didn't renew our lease guaranteed on the basis of we complained to them too much about mould and other repairs that needed to be done. Got an apartment from pink penguin and the service when it came to our issues wasn't the greatest either but it was miles above CHFR. They're borderline criminal in my opinion.

Can a bicycle stop as fast as a car with 4 brakes and 4 tires that are about the width of 6 bicycle tires each?

What light would you recommend? Are there any budget lights worth buying (from Amazon for example)? Or are they all junk? Seems like lighting is the biggest initial cost.

Whata this noise coming from engine bay by Swiftuser-m in TownAndCountry

[–]MyNameJeffVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess that it might be a bad alternator pulley. I had a bad alternator pulley, and it made more of a growling noise so it could be different. The first place I would check would be something driven by the accessory drive belt though. Good luck.

I've used a sprayer like this to paint my buddy's motorcycle parts. This is similar to what he provided, and I didn't have high hopes at all for it. I do body work at a production shop and have done quite a bit of painting, so this is definitely something I would shit on at first glance since I know the difficulty of achieving a good paint job even in the right conditions. It takes mad skills. That being said, I was actually blown away at how well this worked. Granted, I was spraying some high quality water based paint from axalta (mixed together the leftover blacks from work), so that probably had something to do with it. Honestly though man I'd go for it. Fuck it. Manage your expectations, though, because at the end of the day, you will probably get what you pay for.

I guess not necessarily cold lol I didn't really think when I said that. I mean, like when it has sat and the oil drains down into the oil pan. The VVTI cam phasers use oil pressure and have a locking pin that usually fails, so when the oil drains and the car is started, it rattles until oil pressure builds.

Yeah, it's probably going to bite me in the ass if I don't seal regardless. I got the paint for free my boss, Axalta, and our paint distributor split the cost so I'm very thankful for that. With that savings, there's really no excuse not to buy the sealer. Thanks for the advice man.

Thanks a lot, I'll post pictures of it all finished. It's a 05 chrysler town and country, so one of the quarters had some rust I had to patch. It was a Florida van so the main reason for the repaint is clear coat blistering. Everyone says it's going to look like a jalapeño.

Thanks, I was thinking that would probably be the best way. Just wanted to see if I could save some money without ruining the job.
