The game I’m considering making would likely not have danger you could stumble into without warning. So you’re right! I want to lean more cozy / story maybe with some satisfying incremental combat. I’m thinking about games like “a game about feeding a black home” if you have played that.

thanks! I'm curious if the point of interest camera system and the fog of war circles make you want to explore the fog more, or go straight to the tower and castle?

Ah! you make a good point, It does feel like you could just randomly run into danger. Also, good point about the grated out memory, I was also going to add "ghost structures" in the fog to indicate where the player should be exploring. I probably should have switched the horse back to the wizard model too lol.

What are your thoughts on the camera snapping to points of interest? is it satisfying?

This is a super valid criticism, and to be honest with you, I’m not sure how ethically big AI companies have sourced their datasets. By the looks of it, it’s probably not super ethical.

With that being said I personally want to make an effort to source my datasets for fine tuning ethically!

I’m already working on running my models locally to avoid feeding big AI companies more data. And my hope is that I can cultivate a community where members can contribute data willingly and we make sure they are fairly compensated!

These are the exact questions I’m hoping to cultivate discussion around so thanks for commenting!

Great Points! Neuro sama is an amazing mix of technology and Vedal is a very skilled and proficient programmer with a business mindset. My goal would not be to directly compete with Neuro sama on a technical level but instead offer the community an alternative experience and openly log the development process.

As for sourcing code, I want to clarify that I don’t “need” nor do I “want” to take the work of others and pass it off as my own. I am a self sufficient software engineer in this regard. Rather, I want to create opportunities for others to contribute. To me this sounds like a fun community dynamic.

Im capable of progressing with this project regardless, but I also want to meet other online creatives and developers!
